Duo Sorelle Acoustic Duo from Atlanta, GA

Duo Sorelle is the perfect ensemble for intimate events and unique settings. Violinist Adelaide Federici and Soprano/Violinist Katie Baughman have performed together since childhood, and perform a wide variety of music. Their repertoire includes violin duets of wedding favorites like TRUMPET VOLUNTARY and Pachelbel's CANON IN D, arrangements of vocal selections such as Schubert's AVE MARIA and Bach's JESU JOY OF MAN'S DESIRING, and unique pieces such as a musical telling of the story of FERDINAND THE BULL, perfect for a children's party or event! Adelaide and Katie have combined 40 years of experience performing for weddings and special events. They have performed in recitals across the Southeast as a duo, and all over the world as solo performers. After years of performing together in larger ensembles such as the Atlanta Opera, Johns Creek Symphony, and the International Opera Center, they decided to explore music for voice and violin, without the addition of another instrument like piano, and found it to be unique and beautiful. It is also ideal for intimate events and smaller spaces, where a piano or string quartet would be too large. Their ability to easily shift from violin duets to vocal solos with violin accompaniment makes them ideal for any size and style event. They have also developed a one of a kind repertoire of children's music, exploring music all around the world through the wonders of the violin and voice. They have dazzled kids of all ages with their rendition of THE DOLL SONG in which Katie sings the part of a wind up doll who just can't seem to stay wound, English folk song THE TAILOR AND HIS MOUSE, and their signature piece, FERDINAND THE BULL.
