The Ampersand Project Acoustic Band from Corning, NY

We are a live music act from the Upstate NY Finger Lakes region (Elmira/Corning area) and are always looking for new venues to play for. We cover rock, pop, and country genres and have been playing music individually combined for over 40 years, but together for 4 years. We like to travel, making new friends and fans, and really enjoy playing for people. We play many wineries and breweries in the Finger Lakes region as well as local bars, pubs, and eateries and we also have experience playing casual/laid back weddings, big holiday parties and events, and even County/Street Fairs. We find ourselves in the pocket of being able to play at small, intimate settings and having a great seemingly full-band sound, considering we're "just a duo" - lol. This allows us to be extremely flexible to nearly any musical entertainment need outside of raves and full-on, all-night dance parties. We are professional, courteous, and fun. We have a wide variety of styles ranging from country (think Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleon) to rock (think Matchbox Twenty, Goo Goo Dolls, Shinedown) to pop (think Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Gavin Degraw). Our other niche is the versatility we possess; keeping everything from sounding similar, yet familiar and not too outlandish. Our singer, Jeremy James, has a wide, powerful vocal range to pull off these types of styles and artists very well and is accompanied by an acoustic guitar. The other half of TAP is Paul Thompson, who has a one-of-a-kind self-designed acoustic drum kit as his primary instrument, but also varies his accompaniments between a guitar and a keyboard. We have reliable transportation and quality sound equipment (if needed). We look forward to meeting new friends and fans and can't wait to see you on the road!
