The Acoustic Fusion Band Acoustic Band from Saint Louis, MO

Seasoned professional-level musicians band based in Atlanta,Ga.,(where part of the musicians live) St. Louis, Mo., and Southern Louisiana (where I--Mark--live)primarily consisting of 5-String Banjo, acoustic guitar, mandolin, violin, acoustic bass. Sometimes we incorporate cello, viola, accordian and various percusion elements into our sound. Relocating, completely, to the Greater St. Louis, Mo. area in May. AFB looks much like a Bluegrass band (and we can play Bluegrass), but we sound more like a "new acoustic" ensemble. We specialize in original instrumental music, swing-jazz, Cajun (I have a Traditional Cajun Music CD coming out later this year) Bluegrass, and we even do some Irish pieces. Will customize music, based on your preferences, specifically for your event. Also able to do smaller ensembles, like a duo or trio, perhaps even a solo instrumentalist. Our original mix blends elements of traditional jazz, classical, Irish, gypsy jazz and traditional American Fiddle music into an intricate weave of fresh, new, and exciting pieces that meander about the edges of contemporary musical imagination. From a 2-piece duo to a 5-piece band we can provide a unique musical experience for your event. All of our instruments are acoustic...not plugged-in, though we have acoustic pick-ups for amplification when needed.
