Since the Big Apple Chorus was established in 1983, it has brought its unique interpretation of the a cappella and barbershop harmony style to such great performing venues as: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Radio City Music Hall, New York City's fabled Beacon Theater, Shea and Giants Stadiums, the Central Park Band Shell, Symphony Space, the historic Salvation Army Theatre, and the South Street Seaport as part of its world-famous “Singing Christmas Tree”. We are a Manhattan-based a cappella chorus, singing harmony for many years to all audiences in the tri state area. We sing everything from Broadway to Barbershop and rock and roll/R&B and Sinatra.
The Chorus has also been heard in chorus competitions across the length and breadth of North America, appearing in cities such as St. Louis, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Hartford, in Washington DC's Constitution Hall, Bridgeport, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Miami, Providence, Columbus, Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Boca Raton, and Calgary and Montréal.
We have been hired to perform locally in the five boroughs of NYC for such gigs as corporate events, musical meetings, Valentine's Day surprises, store openings, and holiday tree lightings.
