The worlds only post-apocalypse themed 80s tribute! For those who are looking to add a fun "edge" to their event, we submit for your consideration Apocalypse Now Wow Wow! The worlds first post-apocalypse, post-nuclear, alternative reality 80's music tribute!. Dance like it's 1999 Luftballons as a straight out of the wastelands vibe combine with crack-professional musicianship for a one of a kind trip through the decade that almost wasn't! It's a totally unique non-stop fun for any party or event. As per our "biography". "We want to be the band the people are dancing to when the bomb drops" once said Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran in 1985. Little did he know that he would get his wish four years later when the location of their attempted 1989 "comeback" show at Londons Hammersmith Palais would turn out to be ground zero for one of the (surprisingly accurate) mirv warheads of a Soviet TR 87 ICBM. The rest, as they say, is "post-history", but that was a long time ago, and things are better now (sort of) and if it's one thing that folks know how to do nowadays (aside from making excellent protein cakes out of mutant crickets) it's how to have a good time! and that's where our heroes come in! The Apocalypse Now Wow Wow!, a "motley crew" of former army rangers, elite shelter kids, happy mutants and raiders, who, as it turned out have a shared love of 80's music and advanced survival skills. Devoted to sharing it with others, they cross the wasteland in their armoured all terrain tour bus to bring fun and frolic to the protected quadrants, city-states, corporate enclaves and rebuilt industrial districts of our brave new world! Watch for them near you soon! Apocalypse Now Wow Wow! is a "themed" 80's music tribute band, the theme of the band being "Post-Apocalypse 80s"! Combining the fun and kitsch of an 80s cover band with a "dark" (but also fun) edge of the post-apocalypse themed movies that began to be popular around that time (and are even more popular now). Think Valley Girl meets Mad Max! The band dresses that way, acts that way. In places where the venue would allow for it, we even have multimedia (videos and sound) to help to add to that effect. The end result being a completely unique entertainment experience for your event! Apocalypse Now Wow Wow! is an all live act, our performances do not include previously recorded tracks. We play 4 piece, guitar based arrangements of the songs that we do, however, for an additional fee, we can add a keyboardist. At no additional cost we provide our own sound system as needed, which is sufficient for most spaces. If upon communicating with you we determine that a larger sound system is needed, we can discuss options as to how to arrange for that. Our general set list is composed of earlier decade "New Wave" 80s, though we are open to requests beyond that as far 80s songs and other songs in general. Simply discuss that with us.
