The music is special, and the songs are timeless in what AM GOLD plays. These are the songs many grew up with in the early to late 1970's being played on the radio. Soft pop hits, catchy and likeable but yet defining the time and mood. These are the songs that define that summer you always loved... Various band members in the band have spent years playing in Top 40 Cover bands, Dance bands, Disco or 80s Bands, but wanted to do something more close to what they grew up with and what no one else had done. .. Songs like Summer Breeze, Margareataville, Beach baby, Brandy, Ventura Highway, Still the one, Witchita lineman, Baby Come back, are classics which everybody knows, and has a great reaction from the audience. With many bands doing the same songs, this breaks the mould to remind the audience of the songs they have forgotten and makes them smile with these catchy songs. It will have them singing along and take them back to a time when things were easier and simpler... To keep the mood, the band dresses up in the early 70s traditional outfits to recreate that time period and mood. Depending on the size of your event, you have an option to book the acoustic, which as three piece recreates the harmonies etc and sounds. Certain songs though due the arrangements cannot be performed as a three piece. If you wish to have the full band with live drums etc this enables the full sound, then all songs can be performed. Obviously the acoustic set is cheaper as less band members and less space is needed and gives a more low key setting.
