Lucky Penny did an amazing job for our event! They were all so professional and easy to work with, especially Jim Hopes. He created a special mp3 with music reflecting our theme for the cocktail hour and then played all kinds of current dance music. We would definitely hire them again!

Selecting a band that you hope is going to be great entertainment for a special event is sometimes a leap of faith. I found Lucky Penny on The Bash and everything that I read in the reviews was very positive so I booked them for my retirement party. What a great decision that was. Everything that I read in the reviews about Lucky Penny was an understatement to what we experienced with their performance. This band is extremely talented at playing all kinds of music and rocked our guests. It was a pleasure from start to finish working with Jim and the band and I will be looking forward to having them perform again at my next special event. Thank you Lucky Penny!

Lucky Penny played at my sister's wedding and were so fantastic that I had to have them at my own wedding 5 years later! They kept everyone on the dance floor during our wedding reception! They played the perfect blend of music and we couldn't haven't loved having them be apart of our special day any more! Highly recommend for any event!

We hired Lucky Penny for our wedding reception in Sarasota, and we could not have been happier. From the initial phone call with Jim, they were professional, accommodating, flexible and so so talented. They even let my wife's nephew on the keyboard to play with them! What a treat for our families and a memory we will always cherish. They played a great mix of genres - playing to the crowd and keeping the party alive! We would recommend them a million times over.

Booking a band for our wedding over the internet was stressful, and unpredictable. We were hopeful Lucky Penny would live up to their reviews, but of course weren't sure.
I don't know how to fully express that Lucky Penny was the SINGLE BEST DECISION WE MADE FOR OUR WEDDING.
Jim and the band were professional, took care of EVERYTHING from set up to close, got EVERYONE dancing (from 4 year old nephews to 85 year old grandmothers), judged the mood of the crowd and matched music PERFECTLY, and simply nailed every song.
Quite simply, I couldn't be more thankful to Jim and the band, can't recommend them highly enough.

Extremely talented veteran musicians that play cover songs true to the original artists. This was final performance for their lead vocalist, wish her well.
At first their music was too loud for the venue and guests but it was rectified. Once they found the groove the guests enjoyed listening and dancing.

This was a very good night and a very engaged audience. The dance floor was packed all night long and many people came up to us afterward to express how much they enjoyed the band, including suggesting we should be on America's Got Talent:). We were able to fix the initial volume issue very quickly with our onsite sound engineer.
It is true that our female lead singer is moving out of state, and we will indeed miss her. The good news is we have a real pro set to pick up that role and we have five members of the band that sing lead on various songs, so we are rich on vocals.

Lucky Penny exceeded all my expectations. I had never heard them in person before and was thrilled with the quality of their sound, their performers talents and their ability to keep the party going. Every special request was played immediately or was played at a break. They have a great selection of music to choose from- all different genres and even current songs which was exciting! Laine has an incredible voice and, being a musician myself, I loved the saxophone! Great musicianship all around- the mix of instruments and voices was perfect- I can't say enough good things about them. We've already booked them for our next event! Thank you so much!!

I wish I could give you more than 5 stars! There aren't enough words to say how amazing your professionalism and your talents are. Even though we picked every song to be played at our daughter's wedding, the band made the songs sound new and fresh. Laine is a tremendous lead singer! She got everyone rocking out and our guests thought she was awesome! Her enthusiasm was contagious! Our guests told us they were the best live band they had ever heard. The vocals, guitar, drums, percussion and sax players had the most amazing sound! Each set was tight and choreographed beautifully with each song seamlessly going into the next. It's the single best decision we made!

We had a small venue and the band was extremely interactive with all of our guests, especially the children. they were very accomodating and very eager to please and help. they genuinely seemed like they were having as much fun playing for us as we were listening to them. they played great music and all of our guests commented on how much they liked listening to them and dancing to their music.

675 characters is not enough to explain how awesome Lucky Penny is and how incredible our wedding was thanks to them!
Their talent level was top notch & they were highly professional, but above all else, their energy level & audience engagement was out of this world! We had young children attend, including a 3 yr old dancing machine, and the band were great about including the kids in the performance & making them feel special. Also, they were very flexible and accommodating regarding our special requests.
The bottom line: we wanted not just a wedding, but a rocking party! Lucky Penny helped make that happen! If you want the same, this is the band for you!

I found this band online so I was hesitant to book them without hearing them live. The band was quick to respond offering multiple upcoming events we could drop by to hear them play. This band is phenomenal! We booked them instantly for our wedding and couldn't have been more pleased. They were very professional to work with, timely, dependable, affordable. They helped out coordinating the time line for the evening, they new exactly what songs to play to keep the dance floor packed all night long! We have received more compliments from our guests on the band and how much fun they had dancing all night. We would highly recommend this group for any event you may have.

Lucky Penny as a talented and professional band. From the 1st phone call to inquire about them to the last farewell, they were everything we anticipated. Give Lucky Penny the stage (or flatbed trailer, LOL) and they will do the rest! They were fun, keep the crowd interested and covered their music with the upmost talent. They were very accomodating to all our requests and worked well with our other musicians. This is definitely a band to keep in the rolodex!

We were so blessed to have Lucky Penny as such a special part of our wedding.From first contact until the last moment of our wedding day, we were impressed with not only their professionalism, but their thoughtfulness.We felt they went above and beyond by making arrangements for us to see them perform at another wedding, they were able to accommodate us by learning a couple of acoustic guitar songs and our first dance song to perform, and they even gave us a personalized Lucky Penny onesie for our son. Band managager, Alisa, made every effort to ensure that our day would be a perfect fairy tale, and it certainly was.All of our guests complimented the music!!
