Gary was just perfect -- his presentation, talent, and connection with audience were right on the mark. I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to a friend.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on March 14, 2008From San Diego, CA

Gary arrived on time and was wonderful. Everyone at the party spoke to me about how much they liked him. He arrived and sang to the birthday boy. His list of songs was huge and very well done. He was pleasant and easy to work with. He made our party very successful.

Private PartyReviewed on August 12, 2008From San Diego, CA

Gary was great! Very personable and willing to let our group on "stage" with him to do some sing-alongs! He was on time and organized, and had a long list of songs which fit in with our "Margaritaville" party theme. Everyone commented on how much fun our party was and how Gary contributed to the evening. Thanks Gary!

Private PartyReviewed on December 31, 2007From San Diego, CA

Gary performed for our New Year's Party. He came well before the event and set up everything so that he was ready right at the start of the party. Very relaxed and professional. We were extremely pleased with his talent, versatility and rapport with our guests. He was much loved by all, including the children of the guests, who he amazed with his talents in playing the dozens and dozens of harmonicas, all tuned to different scales. We enjoyed the music, danced to it past midnight and had a wonderful time. He will be back with us, you can be sure and with pleasure. Highly recommended!

Good job!! Especially taking the time to learn a new song, with a "yodel", for my dads' memorial service and getting everyone to join in too! Everyone agreed that the service was "so special and so right" and could not have been more meaningful!

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on February 24, 2007From Mission Viejo, CA

We held a Renaissance costume birthday party in our home which included a large patio area. Gary dressed the part and was a big hit at the event. For about 2 hours he strolled about the party goers playing a mandolin and singing. In the last hour we had 3 sing alonges and then he played some rock and roll where we enjoyed dancing. He is very talented, pleasent to talk with and easy to work with. It was one of our best parties. Regards, Andrew Oien

He arrived early to set up, he has a great party singing voice, he announced all the events at the reception, everyone loved him, and he even learned a Weird Al song just for us! He did a great job. I would completely recommend him for your party or event.

Gary, Your harmonica rendition of "Amazing Grace" was indeed amazing -- very soulful and moving, and helped make the memorial service a wonderful event. Your enthusaism and cooperation in getting into the spirit of the occasion made things a lot easier for us. Norman & Lois Muse

New Year's Eve PartyReviewed on January 4, 2011From Yuma, AZ

Gary was a big part of our New Year's Eve party. He planned and communicated well beforehand and arrived early. Gary was very accommodating and customized his playlist for our crowd. Gary is a very talented musician and would be a great choice for any type of party.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on September 13, 2008From La Jolla, CA

Gary Lehmann was extremely responsive and accomodating to my request for entertainmentat for a friend's 60th Birthday Party in my home. Gary played guitar and harmonica with a sound system that incorporated additional acoustics. He played a wide variety of songs/requests and instinctively adjusted the sound volume to accomodate the evening's activities. I also thought he was very prompt and reasonably priced. But most importantly, our guests kept dancing in the corners of the room, so we actually cleared a dance floor in front of Gary and danced into the night!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 13, 2012From Coronado, CA

Gary was great to work with! We literally did not meet until after he played at my ceremony, but he was there on time, set up, and ready to go for my wedding ceremony. Our Minister commented on how great he was to work with, as he brought an additional sound system and microphone for him to use. The only feedback I would give is that I am not sure what happened, but when I got to the last / back row of chairs in my walk down the aisle, the music stopped, so it was silent as I walked through to the front. It would have been nice to have music all the way until I made it to the front, being the Bride. I didn't notice, but just some feedback I received from others.

Overtime pay was not discussed ahead of time. Not all music requested were played due and did not show willingness to try to learn the songs.

BanquetReviewed on June 16, 2012From Lawndale, CA

He showed up early and dressed for our event. seemed like he had it all together, everything was on the lap top and he had all needed equipment to proceed. This was a little more of a bus/corp. stuffy event for me to hire a person that would have worked well with a crowd. Alas, this was not the event for such a thing and I felt bad for Gary as he had no interaction from the crowd. Not his fault by any means.

FuneralReviewed on January 5, 2017From Whittier, CA

What a pro! Gary was incredible. I sent him some simple sheet music ahead of time and he committed it to memory! Halfway through the ceremony, he transitioned from the Harmonica to the Piano and it was a perfect. He was grateful for the opportunity to be involved in our farewell service for a Whittier mayor and icon. Great job, Gary!

:

It was, indeed, an honor and a privilege to play the memorial for a fellow harmonica player. Monte lived to be 99 and had a blessed life. Thanks for letting me provide music.

Gary was amazing. Not only did he save me when I really needed a performer at the last minute but when he performed, he could not have been easier to work with and professional. Last, but certainly not least, Gary delivered a great performance for our group and was extremely fun. Corporate events are never easy with everyone talking, but he was great. I will definitely keep his contact info handy for the next event!

Gary has a long list of songs in his repertoire which allowed us to pick the perfect mix for our party. Have him play Rod Stewart's "Have I told you Lately". It is a very nice touch for your sweetheart.

FuneralReviewed on February 15, 2015From El Cajon, CA

On short notice I was fortunate enough to have Gary accept my request to provide music at my Mother's funeral. He was on time, professional, pleasant and sensitive to the attendees. I asked him to play a song which was not on his song list on the ukulele. He performed beautifully and it was very touching. His music held our service together and everyone commented on how perfect the music was and what a soothing voice he had. I recommend Gary without hesitation. His music comes from the soul.

WeddingReviewed on November 12, 2013From San Diego, CA

We loved Gary! We received so many compliments on his music at our wedding reception! He played the ukulele for our ceremony, then all sorts of other lovely music for our cocktail hour. He even had to move his entire set-up which he wasn't expecting, and was very accommodating. Also, he was so easy to work with pre-wedding - he was very responsive via email and phone, and was so helpful in terms of picking out tunes for the ceremony itself. I will definitely be recommending Gary to friends and family for not only weddings, but parties & other events as well. Thanks again, Gary!
