Bill and his band were outstanding. The day before the event I told Bill my girls would like to dance to Butterfly Kisses with their Dad, Bill attempt to learn the song so the band can play it live. That was outstanding! The band was great they played a variety of music and my guess enjoyed them. The dance floor was packed. The drummer and sax player were also GREAT. I will use Bill and his band for any and all my up coming events.

We utilized both Bill Freed's jazz group and rock band Cover Story for our outdoor wedding in October 2007. Bill was excellent to work with in planning the event, providing feedback and asking the right questions to make sure we had the event we wanted. The group learned a new song for our first dance and played it exceptionally well. They were professional, talented and great to work with. Bill is a star on the the guitar, the female jazz vocalist was exceptional. All in all, a group deserving of a top rating! We definitely recommend them for weddings and other events for clients who care about the quality of music and don't want "just another wedding band."

Bill played at my mother's 80th birthday party luncheon for about 25 guests and provided the perfect mix of music. We wanted something simple yet elegant and his style did this. He is easy going, very accomodating, professional and a delight to work with. Highly recommended.

He was able to set up quickly and performed beautifully. The audience was full of professionals and supporters. He played with ease and the music was so beautiful it seemed effortless. We received many complements from all the attendees. We will definitely use you again in the future for another fundraiser or event. We also have no problem recommending him to others. As a Nonprofit Organization, I feel that we were very fortunate to have such a kind, and generous professional who was very accommodating for our guest.

Bill and his band were great! He went above and beyond to cater to our specific needs with very little description or direction on our end. He actually went and researched the type of music we were looking for to be sure to nail down the sound! He even let us borrow some of his other personal equipment AND brought it over himself before the event. The entire group was extremely friendly and easy to work with. I would definetly reccomend him for any kind of event; he will put together a program for anything you are looking for and do it well.

Bill and his band were absolutely perfect for our wedding!!! We had them play for the ceremony and the reception at our backyard, and we couldn't be more happy with them. All of our guests LOVED their music, were super impressed with them, and kept asking where I found them!

Outstanding event! It was our first event with a live band and Bill, Sam, and the entire "Cover Story" group were superb! The vocals were powerful and they got the crowd going! On the business side, they were extremely accomodating and worked to make sure they understood our needs and delivered exactly what we asked for! I HIGHLY recommend using them for another event! It was a great time!

Terrific. All of the comments that I received throughout the night and in the office the following Monday raved about the quality of the band. Bill and his troupe played throughout the evening and provided just the perfect style of music that we were looking for. They went so far as to take requests from the audience and played "Moon Dance" by Van Morrison without even knowing the tune and nailed it. True professionals.

This band was great overall. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed having jazz at a wedding. Bill did a great job of asking us what we wanted, recommending things that had and hadn't worked in the past, and selecting appropriate music. Correspondence was frequent and with a fast response from Bill. The two singers, guitar, and trumpet were very talented. The keyboardist, who we had for our ceremony and reception, was the only weak point in the band. If I were to choose a band again I would choose the same band and a different musician for my ceremony. We had Bill play his guitar for our recessional and it was very appropriate and of high quality.

If you want great value for the money, beautiful music and an easy to work with musician, hire Bill Freed and his cohorts. His musicianship is superb and he is very conscientious at all points in the contract arrangements, music selections and delivery of a wonderful event. Many who came would like to hire him for their events. He is able to deliver many types of music, from new to old jazz, samba, other Latin rhythms and rock. To say I am pleased doesn't really say enough.

Bill Freed played for our wedding celebration in July 2014. He was a pleasure to work with, usually responding to e-mails & phone calls within 24 hours, always with a very professional & accommodating attitude. He provided expert advice on songs and instrumentation. We had originally planned on 1-3 musicians, but after hearing Bill’s quintet play a local gig, we decided to go with all 5. Our songs included standards, pop, and rock & roll; all performed expertly. Bill was amazing on guitar. Tiffany’s singing added to the fun; she had our guests dancing, even though we weren’t sure that they would! We highly recommend Bill for any event, & hope to work with him again.
