Description
MAYES2 is the husband & wife duo of Frank & Cindy Mayes, two veterans of the New Orleans music scene for 26 years. Like the rich gumbo for which New Orleans is known, MAYES2 mixes their sounds (flutes, clarinet, saxophones, piano & vocal) and styles (New Orleans jazz, original, classical, R&B, country & blues) to form a multi- "tastual" musical experience!
In August 2009, MAYES2 released their first CD as a duo, after having performed together for more than 30 years at such venues as the N.O. Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, clubs, hotels, parties, conventions, fund raisers, weddings, festivals, carnival balls, even the Ringling Brothers/ Barnum & Bailey Circus! Appropriately named "Finally! (Have Horns, Will Blow)", this CD was created to create awareness of New Orleans unique musical culture.
MAYES2 will create a unique musical experience for your special function. Laissez Les Bon Temps Roule (Let the good times roll)!
