Barbone Street was formed in 1992 with a cadre of jazz musicians who also played with "Society " Dance Bands, and has been performing about 160 times a year ever since. The music is a mix of Small Band Swing, New Orleans Jazz, American Songbook, and Dixieland and is for listening and/or dancing. We perform at a broad variety of venues including: Nightclubs, Casinos, Restaurants, Summer Concerts for Cities, Towns and Townships, Private Parties, Weddings, Corporate Functions, Retirement Communities, Schools, Elementary through University, Recreational Facilities, Museums, Public Gardens, Equestrian Events, Country Clubs, Hotels, Fundraisers, Vineyards, Jazz Societies, Sports Stadiums, Churches, Jazz Festivals, Swing Dances etc. Usual band size is 6, however depending upon budgets, we can supply from 3 to 6 musicians. Their expertise makes Barbone Street the most popular jazz band in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. We normally travel and perform within a 100 mile radius of Center City Philadelphia, but will sometimes travel farther for special events. For exampe, last year part of the band travelled 8000 miles to perform at the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Israel.
