The Desert Knights Band was a great country band. Would really recommend for anyone who likes more traditional sounding country with fiddle! They showed up early to set up and were great to work with.

Desert Knights band was fabulous. We had some weather conditions that changed our plans for the layout of the evening but the band kept out Members happy & on the dance floor all knight. I will definately hire them again.

The Desert Knights Band was great. Everyone loved their music and thought they were fantastic. Love the white fiddle. They were a pleasure to work with on our event - flexible and accommodating too. I will definitely use them again and will highly recommend them to others.

WeddingReviewed on March 4, 2013From Glendale, AZ

Incredible! These guys showed up early, ran the business side of things like professionals, and handled the guests like family. The bottom line is that these guys can flat out play country music. We had an outdoor wedding and the music was so unbelievably good that our neighbors were literally out dancing in their drive ways. Everyone loved them. Can't wait to find a reason to hire them again!

:

Thank you so much for the booking! what a great time! glad your neighbors enjoyed too! lol. can't wait until next time...looking forward to it!

Doug and the band were terrific and talented! They played for over 3 hours and had everybody up dancing and rocking. I never saw our group have so much fun - especially with the line dancing. They took requests and even let one of our guys go up and sing with them. My recommendation? Hire them NOW!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on April 12, 2010From Phoenix, AZ

It was very tough to pre-plan. They had a hard time at first accommodating to what we wanted. They didn't want to change. They also werent readily prepared. They also took a TON of breaks. I don't feel like they played but 2 hours if that for a 5 hour job. We were doing the dollar dance and still had people in line and they cut it off. Phone calls were slim and multiple calls were left, and they didn't "receive the messages" and instead of calling back they send an e-mail. Everything was doing through e-mail or voicemail. The band sound really good though!

:

With so many details, weddings are always difficult to plan. I didn't give any more or any less than I have ever given in my performance duties or my contacts with the client. I returned the phone calls I received in a timely manner and apologized for my elderly mother’s mistake of not knowing who it was who called me. I was very prepared. Two of the phone calls that were referred to were made to me the day before the gig. The night before the wedding the Groom left a voicemail on my cell phone requesting that we start an hour earlier than we had agreed on the contract. I still have the voicemail! That was impossible with less than 24 hr notice due to the fact tha

There was a communication mix-up and the band had not been paid by the date of the event. I was unaware of this problem, as my corp accting was to have sent him a check. I sincerely appreciate that the band showed up and began playing. When I learned of the balance due that night, I assured Doug that he would be paid immediately when I returned to office... but then went one step further and I secured the cash that night and paid him in full. But even after being paid in full, Doug felt the need to make an announcement to our attendees over the microphone the he "would fulfill his contract, not like some other people." Totally unprofessional and inappropriate.

:

All I can say is WOW! There was a communication mixup?! No there was a breech of contract on Robert Nakao's part. Robert Nakao "Executive Publisher" and contract signee for his group Continuity Insights failed by passing on his duties to someone else (twice). First it was his assistant Allysa, who didnt have a clue as to what was going on, and second his boss Tom Lynch, whome actually ended up having to go up to his room at The Talking Stick Resort and get me cash from his safe. Handing me a business card, Robert said "I'm good for it ,I'll send a check in two days". Not good enough for me Robert. I received the total thanks to my persistance. No regrets..

FundraiserReviewed on May 17, 2015From Phoenix, AZ

I can't say enough positive things about the Desert Knights Band. They are very talented and added the perfect touch to our Silent Auction. When I asked them to help at this charity event, they immediately accepted, were kind and professional and dazzled the guests with their talent and music. I would highly recommend them for any country theme event you have. From back yard bbq's to charity events to weddings, these gentlemen will be your best choice.

Wow! I can not thank Desert Knights Band enough for making our entire event a success. The music was wonderful. They are so professional, set up well ahead of time, kept the noise level at a respectful volume for the hotel guests. They are a full band with all members playing a variety of instruments, no shortcuts. Great voices and acoustics. They looked sharp, all in black and hats. My attendees normally would have left the event early, but I really believe Dessert Knights kept them until late into the night. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Desert Knights performed outstanding at our new venue. Being one of the first bands to play our new stage they showed true talent and professionalism. Would highly recommend to anyone searching for a quality country band.

I hired this band for our Church Community Concert Series based on the reviews on Gigmaster, which was a bit scary. I could not have been more pleased with this group. As the Community Concert Coordinator, I usually struggle with communications with the band leader and logistics. Doug answered every single email promptly, provided promo materials and a contract timely and called me to touch base. His group showed up early for sound testing and all were professional. This was our first "country" concert ever in the series, and the music was wonderful. They performed both old time country and new songs. Doug has a great voice and the fiddling is amazing. A++++++

Our experience with the Desert Knights Band was Fabulous! We hosted a private party with approximately 250 guests and everyone raved about what a fantastic band they were. Their selection of music was perfect for this event and the dance floor was busy from the time they played their first song until the last...we couldn't have asked for a better experience and most certainly do recommend them.

New Year's Eve PartyReviewed on January 10, 2014From Ajo, AZ

They were great and played for the audience. Previous year they played at the Elks. It was older people and they played mellow older music. This year at the VFW the band was a little wilder due to the enthusiastic wilder crowd. The 4.5 rating was due to the lead guitar player's vocals were not as clear as the other vocals. Might have been the equipment.
