The Sound Effect was a huge hit at our wedding. Each member of the band did a stellar job and the lead singers were spectacular. We really enjoyed having a lead male and female vocalist. They interacted well with each other. The band was able to read the crowd and play the right songs at the right time. Our dance floor was jam-packed all night long and our guests continue to tell us how great the band was! The Jazz Quartet was perfect for our cocktail hour and the pianist played wonderfully during our ceremony. We ordered the Platinum Package and had the band learn two special request songs for us. They had our guests on their feet to dance the night away!

The Sound Effect made entertainment for our wedding reception seamless and stress free. They were:
PROFESSIONAL. On point and very responsive with communication throughout. Were set up and ready to rock when the guests arrived.
FLEXIBLE. Allowed us at the last minute to play music from our iPod during breaks. Provided light show for nominal charge since venue didn’t have their own. Overall very accommodating.
Most of all, ENTERTAINING. Everyone had a great time! Great background jazz music during dinner, then they turned on the fun and energy for everyone to dance the night away.

I just wanted to let you know that everyone was completely blown away by how great you guys were! Everyone loved the variety of music and how engaged the whole band was with the guests. I loved how you let Anthony (my little nephew) come up and play the drums. Again it is just a true testament to how friendly and great your band is. I loved how all of our guests were out on the dance floor until the last dance and I really appreciate you playing the songs we had requested. Booking The Sound Effect to play at our wedding was one of the best choices -- if not the best choice -- we made when planning our wedding. First, they are amazing to work with. Planning a wedding is hard work and they made a big part of it easy. Second, The Sound Effect is an absolutely great band. We did the "Gold" package -- and had the jazz quartet play during cocktails and dinner. When the full seven-piece band performed, everyone was dancing for the entire night. They knew exactly what songs to play when to keep everyone is engaged and dancing. They know how to keep a party going! Guests kept on complementing us on the band and telling us how fun the night was.

The Sound Effect truly exceeded our expectations at our wedding. All you need to know about them is the following: Until our wedding day, we had never seen our parents let loose in our lives. From the time The Sound Effect began playing to the time they stopped, EVERYONE was on the dance floor- I'm not kidding, everyone. Multiple friends and family members told me that they have never been to a wedding where literally everyone danced. I can only attribute this phenomenon to how awesome the music was. The Sound Effect is widely advertised as the #1 rated Gigmasters band and, having recently booked them for a relatively sizable outdoor wedding, I can tell you without a shred of doubt that the crown fits. The Sound Effect was perfect for our wedding. Dozens of guests came up to us gushing about how great the band was, seriously. Although all our other vendors were great the guests were most excited about the band. They got everyone (young and old) dancing basically the whole night. Perhaps their greatest accomplishment was getting my parents out on the dance floor, I'm pretty sure that they haven't danced in 20+ years! This band really made it a party.They were very helpful + completely professional throughout the booking process, getting back to me quickly, which really helped with my nerves when it came to the planning. Thank you so much for playing at our wedding! The Sound Effect was amazing! We had 1 hour of jazz music and 2 hours of full band during the reception. The rendition of our first dance song (Lucky - Jason Mraz/Colbie Caillat) was beautiful! You guys were very accommodating (with the delay in our schedule), professional, talented, and definitely knew how to work the crowd. The dance floor was packed the whole night! Everyone had a wonderful time, and people kept raving about the band afterwards. We couldn't have asked for a better band! Scott was super easy to get in touch with before the wedding as well, always replying to my emails within a few hours.

We hired The Sound Effect to perform at our non-profit organization's 50th anniversary celebration. We wanted a band that could draw people of all ages to the dance floor, and The Sound Effect's talent and energy definitely made that happen! The Sound Effect performed magnificently for our daughter's wedding!
Our guests had a terrific time on the dance floor. Even people who are usually shy about dancing got up to dance because of the music! Needless to say the song choices were right on target, the sound of the band was energizing, and the whole evening and event was memorable!
All of our guests came from out of town, many from out of state.
BELIEVE ME, these people have been around and they ALL LOVED THE MUSIC from THE SOUND EFFECT!

Our event went off great and I received many compliments on the band. We were holding a fundraising auction for a public elementary school, which has been typically mundane and ending immediately following the auction. Having The Sound Effect for our event this year turned the whole thing around and people danced until it was time to turn on the lights. They did a fantastic job setting the mood with a great selection of music while people were perusing the auction items, eating, talking, etc. Following the auction, we dimmed the lights, the band started back up, and the crowd on the dance floor grew. At the end, everybody still wanted more, even though the babysitters were working overtime.
Thanks guys,... and Melissa, our event was a huge success and we hit the number we needed to fund the new playground, with revenue exceeding any previous fundraising effort for the school.

The Sound Effect was great. The band was very professional and sounded great in the space provided. Our house wedding had 175 people, and every comment about the band was positive. I had several guests come up to me and tell me that it was such a refreshing change to have a band instead of a DJ, and it was fun to have them perform. We also had their jazz quartet perform after the ceremony which added so much to the ambiance of the evening.. The members were friendly, outgoing, and willing to chat with guests and that put them over the top for me. I'd reccomend them to anyone.

The Sound Effect performed at my wedding and they were simply awesome! I had several guests (many of whom are music connoisseurs) comment on the high quality of the musicians and vocalists. The band stayed energetic all night and got everyone on the dance floor. The entire evening went very smoothly!
In addition, the band leader Scott was extremely responsive to all my requests related to scheduling, special songs, etc. It was a pleasure to work with them!
I bet that in a couple years, the band will be very well-known in the Bay Area and it will be difficult to book with them -- grab them fast!!!

The Sound Effect helped our Anniversary Party come off above all expectations. Their range of music appealed to our diverse group of family and friends and they kept the dance floor hopping all night. Not only was their music outstanding, they looked like they were having a great time. During their breaks they mingled with the guests and we felt as though we had known them for years by the end of the night.
We had many guest come up to us and ask us how we found such a great band. They were amazed to hear that we found them on the internet. So many of our guests were asking them about their availability that I think they nearly ran out of business cards.

The band was very professional and efficient in communications which was great. We asked them to make some changes to leads in some songs and asked them to learn one new song. They did it with ease. They were very accommodating to us. They showed up on time and looking great and played incredible music for our wedding. People commented on their music and style and passion. And although i never intend to have my own wedding again, we would absolutely recommend then!

The Sound Effect played for my son's Barmitzvah. My son spent three weeks looking and listening to at least 100 bands on the internet. We picked The Sound Effect because they were better than all the other bands we listened to and fit within our budget.
Both the kids and the adults had an amazing night. The Sound Effect and their music hit just the right tone for a magic evening with great dancing, fun and soul. They were so professional and such nice people. I have already heartily recommended them to several dear friends. We will use them again ourselves as soon as we can. They are great in every way. Scott Switzer, the band leader arranged and rehearsed some special songs for us. He was super accomadating and totally responsible and professional. Their two lead singers rock and so do their musicians. This band has heart, soul and spirit. I highly recommend The Sound Effect.

Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be, and The Sound Effect exceeded all of our expectations. It was great working with them before the event, and they went to great lengths to ensure that every detail was taken care of. A very easy vendor to work with. It was also great that they were able to provide music for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and for terrific dancing afterwards. A true one-stop shop for music during the evening.
