Dunlap & Mabe was a perfect fit for our wedding of ~50 guests! They had great communication throughout the entire process, were on time and very professional. Even better, they offered a ton of flexibility as we changed our plan to include ceremony/ cocktail hour music. So glad we did because their instrumental music was perfect for the setting.
We received so many compliments from the guests, and they nailed our first-dance song request! Overall we were incredibly happy with the performance and would highly recommend.

They reached out to me immediately, called me the week before the event to go over my checklist and showed up on time. LOIVED, LOVED, LOVED their music.. These guys were amazing! We had a corporate picnic, and they were the perfect complement to add incredible ambience and make memorable impressions for our teams. I would totally hire them again and most likely will do so for next year's summer picnic.

I watched their promo video and thought this band would be a great fit for our community gathering. My main job is in concert audio, and I work with bands every week. I've done high main stream bands and garage bands, Robert Mabe put on a performance that was breath taking amazing. His band's sound was like nothing anyone has heard, our audience was silent with anticipation of the band's next musical note. Before the show was over city officials asked me for their contact info to bring them in for next year's fair concert. This band is worth 10 times what they charge. They are the real deal and will blow away your audience. And yes we're bringing them back.

Robert Mabe was the perfect choice for my wedding! He was very professional and easy to work with. He was very accommodating on my song selections. He set the perfect vibe for the ceremony and reception. My husband and I love traditional bluegrass and newgrass, which is Robert's specialty, but he is aware when not everyone is feeling that type of music. He also plays many covers of great rock and country classics that anyone can sing along with. We had to limit the number of guest at our wedding due to COVID and he was extremely accommodating. He played with two other musicians and there was a great dynamic. I cannot recommend Robert Mabe highly enough!

Robert and his band were AWESOME!! Great communication beforehand and his calm demeanor quickly puts you at ease. They showed up SUPER early to get everything set up. Once the music started, they kept everyone on the dance floor for over 2 hours! Fantastic energy, fun music and great people to work with. They played the 2 songs we wanted and the rest of the set list was a total surprise and they do a great job reading the crowd. Book these guys!!!

Robert Mabe Band was fantastic! They were a big hit at our wedding. They did a completely acoustic set in the woods for our ceremony and it was perfect. Robert was so accommodating with my reception because we didn't know if we would want them to end up playing outside (if it was warm enough) or if everyone ended up at the bonfire. He was willing to work with either scenario depending on how it went. Turned out, everyone wanted to keep dancing so they brought the house down inside! :)

A duo from the Robert Mabe band (one guitar, one banjo) just performed at a faculty, staff, alumni BBQ on our small campus -- Emory & Henry College. The music was fantastic and received very high praise from many at the event. Robert and band are extremely professional, communicative, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. These are very high quality musicians, so we definitely got our money's worth. They played the perfect set for the size of our crowd at the perfect volume. I'd really like hearing the whole band sometime. We will certainly invite them to come back to E&H again! Thanks Robert and band!

These guys were awesome! My wife and I booked them to play our wedding ceremony and reception. They were very communicative throughout the whole process, from booking to logistics, to planning the music. They even learned our first dance song, which was really cool. At one point in the night, I got up on the stage to make a special request. They told me they didn't know the song, but that I could play it if I could play guitar. So they let me up on stage and handed me a guitar to play and they followed along. An unforgettable experience - would highly recommend.

Robert made an effort to get to know us and understand what we wanted for our wedding day. They are a great bluegrass band and they were super friendly with our guests. We got so many compliments from our guests.

Robert Mabe Band was excellent and SO fun to have at our wedding. Robert was very reassuring, flexible, and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. They were accommodating in playing songs that we requested, yet also recommended appropriate songs when we weren't sure. They played during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing. Everyone was dancing! All the band members were very friendly and seemed to be genuinely having a great time too! We were so genuinely impressed with the quality of the performance. The band is so unique and talented. I would highly recommend Drymill Road for anyone planning a fun backyard event. They played traditional bluegrass beats and mixed it up with some Grateful Dead and Talking Heads. Everyone who attended (and even some neighbors who didn't) were highly complementary of the band. I would definitely use them for a future event. What a great, laid back group of performers. They even left me with a great CD to remember the occassion.
