  • Professors of Soul were a hit at my wedding reception! They played wonderful music, were very talented, got the crowd involved, and everyone had a great time! I had several guests comment on how great the band the was. I highly recommend them for your event! -- Michelle H, Greenwood, SC, 5/19/2012
  • The Professors of Soul rocked our social club's party with no problem! They kept the tunes flowing and played a wide variety of songs that pleased everyone. We were 100% satisfied! Thanks! -- Lindsey M, Greenville, SC, 1/21/2012
  • The Professors of Soul completely transformed my wedding into a party! Not only are they incredibly fun, nice guys (and girls) but they are also amazing musicians. So professional and talented, i would absolutely hire them again and i have already had a couple of guests asking me for their information. Hire these guys- you will be so happy you did! -- Caroline M, Wilmington, NC, 10/22/2011
  • Great people! Very easy to work with and also extremely talented! Loved having them a part of our event. -- Breann S, Greenville, SC, 9/29/2011
  • The best band. Period. Exclamation point! - They learned and played our special song for our first dance. - They did a great job keeping the reception events organized and rolling along. - They brought fun instruments like maracas for the guests to play with. They were all very talented and played great dance-able music that had everyone (Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunts, friends and cousins, young and old alike) out on the dance floor rocking out with their socks out. It was like they sprinkled some sort of crazy magic dust over the entire party because we never, in 3 hours, saw the dance floor empty. We highly recommend them for you and yours. -- David W, Augusta, GA, 7/30/2011
  • Professors of Soul were AWESOME!! So professional and showed up very early. They communicated quickly and were such a joy to deal with. They even learned special songs for our first dances for no charge - such a treat! Would highly, highly recommend them! Everyone was on the dance floor until their very last song. -- Laura M, Charleston, SC, 6/18/2011
  • The Professors of Soul are a great band that I would recommend for any event. Monty is a great band leader and is very easy to work with. If you need a fun, high energy band that plays a diverse catalogue of songs and won't break the bank, you won't be disappointed with the Professors of Soul. -- Chris G, Greenville, SC, 12/18/2010
  • We can't say enough about this band! They were so fun and so talented!! Everyone had a great time and were asking who they were and where we had found them. They were perfect! Couldn't have asked for more. Christina & Stephen -- Christina S, Easley, SC, 1/15/2011
  • Very impressed with The Professors of Soul. Not your typical wedding band and that's what makes them great. -- Brian D, Athens, GA, 10/23/2010
  • The Professors of Soul were wonderful!! When I first heard them play at my brothers wedding in April 2010 I knew they were the band that I wanted to have at my reception. Monty was very pleasant to work with and the cost was very reasonable. My husband and I wanted a Black Keys song played for our first dance and we were so excited with the result!! It was awesome when 2 of the female singers got on the dance floor and showed us a fun group dance. They were very nice and understanding with our (my) less than graceful dancing:) I would definitely recommend the The Professors or Soul to anyone who wants great music, beautiful voices and a spectacular performance! -- Carson H, Pendleton, SC, 10/9/2010
  • The Professors of Soul were nothing but professional. Coming from a musical background I can say that each memeber added to the overall talent of the group. I will without any reserve recommend the Professors of Soul to anyone needing a great time with wonderful musicians. -- Erin D, Pickens, SC, 8/7/2010
  • These guys (and ladies too!) were INCREDIBLE. We had such a great time out on the dance floor at our wedding reception!! The group was so versatile...we heard all our favorite classic dance songs and some salsa and jazz too! (We've heard rave feedback from the wedding guests too) Thanks for making our reception so memorable and so much fun! We enjoyed everything!!! The Carson's -- Emily C, Highlands, NC, 6/26/2010
  • Monty was great to work with. I had two other bands at my wedding and Monty coordinated with them beautifully. The band was fabulous overall. Tamika has a great voice. Everyone had a wonderful time dancing to their music. I would absolutely recommend this band to others. -- Natalie M, Sapphire, NC, 5/29/2010
  • I LOVE this band! They are so fun and can get the crowd in the mood! I love that they bring percussion instruments to involve the crowd also! They are amazing! Could not have been more pleased! Caroline Griggs -- Caroline G, Augusta, GA, 5/15/2010
  • Book them! Our wedding reception was a dream come true and the Professors of Soul were the perfect band. Super professional and easy to work with, they drove at least 150 miles for our wedding. The Professors of Soul were recommended by a friend, but it turns out my wife and I used to go out to see Monty (and other members of the band, no doubt) play jazz at a local club when we lived in Greenville. The Professors of Soul really took our reception to the next level: Tameka, the lead singer, is out of this world, not to mention all the rare talent backing her up. We recommend the Professors for any occasion and we hope to catch them next time we're in Greenville. -- Sara P, Augusta, GA, 12/19/2009
  • The Professors of Soul truly made our reception a great experience!!!! The Professors of Soul were remarkably easy to work with and they even offered to learn a few songs for us. All night people approached my wife and I and asked how we found them and said that they were the best band they had ever seen at a reception. The energy from the band showed on the dance floor as they kept people dancing up until it was time to leave. I would recommend them to ANYONE who enjoys a great band and most importantly, talented musicians. Go with the Professors of Soul and you will not be disappointed. -- Hunter H, Greenville, SC, 4/3/2010
  • The Professors of Soul were an outstanding band for our reception! They were very accomodating to some last minute requests and totally professional throughout our interaction. I thought they were a good band listening to them online, but their performance at our wedding reception exceeded my expectations and beyond! They had half of our reception on the dance floor and kept the high energy of the crowd going all night. They are an incredibly talented group of musicians and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. We received so many complements about how great the band was at the reception! -- Diana C, Asheville, NC, 1/17/2010
  • These guys get 110% from us on all levels! Monty was a pleasure to work with in the planning stages and they blew us away with the performance at our wedding. We have had so many people comment on what a great band we had and ask "who are they and where did they come from??!". One of our guests is a live band booking agent from LA and he was even in awe of the Professors! We absolutely can't wait to see these guys again soon. -- Sarah M, Valle Crucis, NC, 6/20/2009
  • We've had the Professors of Soul play for us a few times and they've always been great! The music keeps everyone dancing and somehow they've gotten better and better the more times we've had them. They are awesome! -- Owen M, Greenville, SC, 2/16/2010
  • The Professors of Soul were just perfect for our event. They kept the mood up and played every type of music. The vocalists were awesome and Manty Craig the leader was great to work with. -- Susan S, Greenville, SC, 12/12/2009
  • We could not have hired a better band for our wedding. So many people came up to me throughout the night and had wonderful things to say about the Professors of Soul. Everyone wanted to know who they were and where they were from. Several people said that it was the best band they had ever seen at a wedding! We had a very large dancefloor and it was full throughout the night! I would recommend them to anyone looking to throw a great party! -- Jen M, Black Mountain, NC, 10/10/2009
  • awesome band!!!!! -- Cynthia/burgundy blues jazz cl W, Anderson, SC, 11/14/2008
  • For this event, we had to coordinate many acts, sponsors, and even a last-minute rain call. The Professors of Soul were so great to work with and were more than accommodating when we wanted a swing dance performance group to be able to dance with the band. We really loved having them at the event and thought it was a great fit! I would highly recommend this group to anyone! -- Katherine B, Clemson, SC, 11/14/2008
  • Monty and his crew are outstanding. They never even took a breat. They made everything so easy for us. What a blessing to have such wonderful people. I can not say enough kind words about them. Thanks. Judy Phillips -- Judy P, Asheville, NC, 11/1/2008
  • Easily one of the best bands we've ever had. Put on a great show with good crowd interaction. Played forever. Excellent playlist. Just kept on playing as long as we could dance. I was sore from dancing the next day. I would recommend them to anyone they are a great value and more than well worth the money. -- Brann F, Greenville, SC, 3/6/2009
  • awesome talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- Cynthia/burgundy blues jazz cl W, Anderson, SC, 11/29/2008
  • Tameka and the band provided an amazing performance! They were also very accommodating during our event, even though the weather was not at times. I highly recommend The Professors of Soul (or The Sweet Addiction Project). -- Marc M, Greenville, SC, 6/13/2009
  • The Prof of Soul did a great job working within our event's timeline and dealing with unexpected changes. The contract did state that Professors of Soul would play to 11 pm and although there were not many guests left, the band stopped playing a little after 10:30 pm. I would be interested in using the band again for the same event next year but as they were paid in full, unfortunately, they did not complete their end of thecontract agreement. I hope this is something that could be discussed. If it weren't for them ending early, I would give them 5 stars! Otherwise, we were please with their performance, interaction with the crowd and flexibility. Thank you! -- Lara C, Greenville, SC, 12/1/2011
