Description

Drymill Road is a progressive acoustic band offering an energetic show of original material featuring the songwriting of Sean Loomis as well as wall as its own renditions of popular covers. Drymill Road was formed by band leader Sean Loomis in 2008. The band was originally a trio including Sean Loomis on Vocals and Guitar and Dave Hurt on Bass, both of which are masters of their instruments and, graduates of the Shenandoah University Music program.

In October 2009 the band recruited Doug Ross on mandolin and Robert Mabe on Banjo. Both of which are heavily influenced by traditional music.

Feedback

  • We had Drymill Road at a recent barbecue and they were fantastic! They are extremely talented, very accommodating and very respectful of our property and guests. I would higly recommend them to anyone and hope to be able to use them again myself. -- Teresa Gregson, Summit Point, WV, 8/14/2010
  • Drymill Road helped make our wedding event very memorable. They showed up early, and played our favorite song as we walked down the isle as husband and wife for the first time. They have a diverse repertoire and a quality sound. They were easy to communicate with leading up to the big day and very accommodating. Thank you! Our guests loved you! -- Jackie Lesh, Carlisle, PA, 10/25/2010
  • The DMR guys are amazing and made our wedding and New Year's Eve celebration so special! These guys are so good, their sound, their vocals, and their new grass/bluegrass style is right on and exceeded our every expectation. We have heard nothing but great things from our guests about DMR. I would recommend DMR to anyone. Thanks guys...we are so happy. You are on the verge of something big, and we are glad we will be able to say we knew them when... Cheers, Mike & Eloy -- Eloy Del Toro, Washington, DC, 1/7/2011
  • Drymill Road is a great band!! We loved the music, their responsivemness to our requests, and their sensitivity to the audience. All of our guests raved about them. We would definitely ask them back! -- Susan Dickey, Baltimore, MD, 6/6/2011
  • Drymill Road was amazing. Everyone our wedding reception commented on how great they were. They looked great, sounded great and were incredibly accommodating (I think I heard them play Wagonwheel at least twice as a result of requests). I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Ryan and Alex -- Ryan Connor, Poolesville, MD, 6/27/2011
  • Fantastic group! Attendees were very impressed and a couple folks even asked for contact information to book the group for other events. They were outstanding and obviously very talented performers. I would recommend them highly to anyone desiring great music for their event! -- Jim Fisher, Nokesville, VA, 6/12/2011
  • The Drymill Road Band played for our wedding ceremony and reception. They did a great job with both! Everyone at our wedding loved the music and we got a lot of compliments on our choice of bands. Robert was very helpful leading up to our wedding. We had a number of phone calls to go over the order of events and song requests. The band learned all the songs we requested and Robert made some great suggestions for music, as well. The whole band was easy to work with on the day of the event. I would recommend them to anyone. The Drymill Road Band really made our wedding an exceptional event. -- Leah Kowalski, Baltimore, MD, 9/30/2011
