Total Groove is an highly talented band! Being Berklee graduates, their talent and training,shone through in every song they played and in diversity their repertoire. They played Jazz during cocktail hour, Enya(as requested)at the ceremony, and a wide assortment of songs at the reception--all to rave reviews by the guests. It is a month after our wedding,and friends and family still compliment us on our band selection; as everyone danced all night! And who can forget the lead singer--the power and beauty of her voice must be heard! If we had to do it all over again, we would use Total Groove again without any hesitation, and plan to recommend them to others,as well.

Sergei and his band, Total Groove, played at a party that I hosted last week. They were incredible!! Many of the guests contacted me afterwards to tell me how much they enjoyed the band. When I hired Total Groove I didn't request a vocalist, but when Sergie arrived at the party he informed me that he had arranged something special for me - a female vocalist. She had a beautiful voice. She had a voice like Nora Jones - very soulful and sultry. We enjoyed the music so much that my family and I are thinking of hosting another party just so that we can have Total Groove play again! You have to hire Total Groove for your event! They are fantastic! Thank you Sergei.

We absolutely loved Sergei Ioannisyan and his band Total Groove!!! I have hired a couple of bands in the past, but Total Groove was the best band we ever had!!! All the guys in the band were musically incredible and very professional. All our friends loved the band and everyone still keeps on talking about them!

My husband and I hired Total Groove for a private party. We were looking for a band that could cover a verity of styles from a background jazz to a hot dance party music. Total Groove fulfilled it all!!! They were terrific and beyond all our expectations!!! All the guys were very nice and professional. They were very responsive and accommodated all our requests. All the guests were having so much fun! The band was really swinging for the jazz set and grooving hard for the dance set! That was just what we needed! The volume was perfect for the background set and people could talk and hear each other easily. I was dancing my heart out when they started playing dance music!!! You just can’t stop moving your feet listening to such great players!
I have no words to thank Total Groove and their leader Sergei Ioannisyan for their marvelous job that they’ve done!!! If my husband and I ever need a live band again we will definitely go with Total Groove! Two thumbs up guys!!! Total Groove really grooves!!! I would highly recommend this band to anybody!!!

The music was perfect for our wedding! Exactly what we wanted. Total Groove played background jazz music for our reception which had a cocktail party atmosphere. It was just the right volume and tempo to make for an elegant and upbeat party. Thanks Total Groove! The music was one detail I didn't have to worry about on my wedding day.

The musicians are accomplished and the vocalist was terrific. The dance music, once they got warmed-up, was great. But, if you're looking for a Jewish-style klezmer band, this one's not for you. The Hora was Hava Nagila only. Then they played an embarrassingly out-of-season dreidal song. They refused to act as master of ceremonies and played the wrong arrangement for the wedding processional. Total Groove fit the bill for a dance but, if you're looking for wedding dance band, look elsewhere.

We've been successfully playing Klezmer for years and have many Klezmer songs in our repertoire and many happy clients. This client didn't give us a chance to continue playing the Hora, we had many more songs to offer, but instead, she chose to stop the music. The wedding processional song was played exactly note to note, and it was transcribed directly from the record by the Berklee professors. To act as Master of Ceremony was never in our contract, nevertheless, we announced all the dances, toasts,etc, as we always do! Also, as a bonus to the client, we played longer sets and took only 2 breaks instead of 3, that we were supposed to have according to the contract.
