William received a Masters degree in Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he was awarded a Conservatory Scholarship, and B.A from UC Berkeley graduating with High Honors. William has served as concertmaster and performed as a soloist with numerous symphonies, including in the Sydney Opera House, Segerstrom Hall, and San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall. He also performs professionally with string ensembles (duos, trios, quartets) and professional orchestras and symphonies. William is available for all types of private events - weddings, concerts, engagements, special occasions, parties, company/corporate events, memorial services/funerals, and recordings (including arranging string parts). William is passionate about performing music for others. He always aims to please the audience and leave them happy. William happily works and communicates with you to make sure you are ecstatic with his music service. William plays popular classical, pop/modern, romantic jazz standards, and movie soundtrack/musicals, virtually all from memory. In addition to solo performance, William can also put together duos (2 violins, violin and guitar, violin and cello), trio or quartet if needed for your event. The Jopa String Quartet is comprised of highly trained musicians who collectively have decades of experience playing weddings, private events, professional concerts. We are good friends and have played professionally together for many years; we are not an agency that puts together unknown or inexperienced musicians or students who have not played together regularly, which can lead to inadequate performance. We strive to bring the highest quality live string music available for our clients. Regarding Booking: While William does contract with other performing groups and remains featured on other sites in videos and marketing, first priority will always be given to bookings made via the Bash, or directly via William's website or with the Jopa String Quartet. Additionally, all fees go directly to the musician(s), so no extra manager or administrative fees are charged to the client. Regarding Calendar: William's Calendar on his Bash profile only reflects bookings made on the Bash and not via William Yun or Jopa String Quartet's websites. Regarding Authenticity of Video/Audio Samples: Please note that the Bash apparently does not screen for authenticity of audio samples, as well as manipulation/remastering of audio in videos. To ensure accuracy of sound and presentation, William's profile features mainly video samples. William's video samples are filmed simply using an iphone (no external mic attached) and zero post production editing, remastering or enhancing of sound.
