Daniel is a trained professional classical violinist, multi-genre fiddler, hip-hop violinist and improvisational performer. Starting violin at age three he developed an ear for music by studying the Suzuki Method, a method commonly taught to young violinists which promotes playing by ear, without music. When he was only 14 years old he began studying with Southwest Minnesota State University's Dr. Michelle Laliberte, followed by the excellent performer Yuko Saito. He played first violin with both instructors in the Southwest Minnesota orchestra. 

Daniel continued his musical studies with Dr. David Arnott at St. John's University where he soloed with the hip-hip violin master Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR for short), improvising live to "Amazing Grace" in the sold out 1,078-seat Escher Auditorium. He later led the orchestra as concert master. 

Since graduating Daniel has played the fiddle in the popular Southwest Minnesota band, the Dam Jammers, and has been a frequent violinist for weddings and other special events. In his free time he records and posts violin cover videos to his YouTube channel, which has been an enjoyable hobby for the past few years. 

Daniel plays with a level of excitement and expertise that is representative of his 20+ years of experience and love for the instrument. Whether you are looking for a simple melody for an outdoor wedding, a violinist to match with your pianist, a final piece to your trio/quartet, or any number of other events, Daniel is more than willing to work with you to help create the best event you've had yet.

UPDATE

When you book Daniel you also receive his equipment. This includes two Yorkville EF500P 800 Watt Loudspeakers plus an 8 channel board that allow him to hook up a his violin plus seven other instruments if needed. He is also capable of hooking up a computer, which is very useful particularly for outdoor events. This equipment set-up comfortably projects to 2,000 people, making both small and large weddings ideal.

Dan was so helpful from beginning to end in every aspect. He was easy to acommodate with and was so pleasant to work with. The music was beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased with how well he did. I received so many compliments on regards to him and how big and beautiful he made our wedding ceremony with his violin. It could not have gone better! I recommend him strongly to anyone in search of hiring for any kind of gig. He is the best!
