Angela Shaunette Felix (Formerly Angela Gilson-Reeves) has starred on stage, film and television. Angela is a touring performer and recording artist. This amazing artist also works as a vocal coach, voice over talent, and motivational speaker.
Throughout her career, Felix has shared the stage singing duets, background and/or opening for notable artist such as The O-Jays, S.O.S. Band, Dave Coz Kelly Price, , Shirley Murdock, Rochelle Ferrell, CoCo Brown, Pastor A. Thomas Hill, Angela Bofill, David Peaston, Dewayne Woods, Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Keisha Jackson, Palmer Williams Jr., Sherrell, Norman Hutchins, Enchantment, Angela Winbush and many others. These performances spanned from intimate events to concerts of over 25,000.
Singing is a passion that is magnified when on stage. Angela Shaunette Felix was featured as the lead actress in Palmer Williams Jr.'s hit touring play; "What a Man Wants What a Woman Needs." Her performance receives rave reviews as the production is currently in heavy rotation on Bounce TV network throughout the U.S.
Angela recently completed the Indianapolis production of Tony Award winning Broadway Musical "Ain't Misbehavin'." Ms. Armelia McQueen would have been proud of Ms. Felix performance in the role she birthed in the original production.
Currently, Ms. Felix is in rehearsals for the Indianapolis production of "The Color Purple" and a new hit musical "The Birth of Soul." Being cast the role of Celie in The Color Purple was an honor as this is a favorite of the artist. In the Birth of Soul, Angela is Lead Female 1, which includes performances as Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, the Chantels, and other vocal performances.
Angela is available for national, International events and tours as a solo artist or including her back up bands "Herschelle L. McGuire ll & Souled Out 7" and "Precision."
