The BackBeats are the #1 Tribute to The Beatles in Michigan. Using authentic instruments and costumes, The BackBeats take their audiences on a Magical Mystery Tour of yesteryear, when the whole world knew the four names of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
With more bookings than any other Beatle band in Michigan, The BackBeats is proud to be the only Michigan-based Beatle show to have had sponsorship by both of the major classic rock Detroit radio stations (104.3 and 94.7) and also by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. On Sep 9, 2009, when the Beatles released their record breaking game "Beatles Rockband", it was The BackBeats that was chosen to represent the band for the Michigan market. With the current over saturation of Beatle bands featuring bad wigs and ill-fitting black suits, come see why The BackBeats continues to put on the most entertaining and authentic Beatle show this side of Liverpool.
BackBeats founder, Eli Echevarria (John Lennon), is no stranger to the stage. As an award winning children's entertainer, Eli has performed throughout the Midwest, Canada, and England, and has been an invited guest lecturer at dozens of magic and clowning conventions and workshops. A classically trained musician, Eli has brought together all of his talents to recreate Lennon's music and wise-cracking stage persona.
If anyone was destined for his role, it would have to be Bob Beahon (Paul McCartney). Like Sir Paul, Bob is an accomplished bassist (left handed of course), guitarist, pianist, and drummer, and his first tenor voice gives him the rare ability to easily hit McCartney's legendary high notes. Bob's uncanny recreation of Paul's on stage role as master of ceremonies ensures that a splendid time is guaranteed for all.

The wedding had both a DJ and the Backbeats. When I walked into the reception prior to anyone else the DJ approached me and said he heard the band warming up and they really sound great. I was so excited and when the Backbeats played the song chosen for the first dance by my daughter and now son in-law. All I could think, gosh they do really sound like the Beatles. I’d recommend the Backbeats to anyone looking for a true Beatle tribute band. A fantastic group of guys with an exceptional talent. That made over 200 people really enjoy the wedding reception.

Unbelievable show. Audience loved them and our staff loved working with them. Professional act from start to finish. Great guys offstage and top notch musicians and entertainers on stage. Their stage show was absolutely perfect as they were able to appeal to all ages, from kids to teenagers, to the grandparents. Will certainly hire them again. Thank you Backbeats for keeping the music, humor, and attitude of the Beatles alive so wonderfully.

From the first email & phone call that I had with Eli (the "John" in the group), I knew that I had made the right decision in hiring this band. Their performance, professionalism, and attitude were better than I could ever imagine. I was also very impressed with how quickly they set up all of their gear, including a complete light show which we weren't expecting. Being big Beatles fans, we have seen lots of Beatle tribute groups; some local and some while out of state, but this was by far the best Beatle show we've ever seen. I will certainly hire them again.
