Redwood Tango Ensemble Latin Band from San Francisco, CA

Redwood Tango Ensemble is an energetic tango quintet from San Francisco. The ensemble plays heartfelt and virtuosic Argentine tangos, waltzes, and milongas. RTE is extremely popular as live music for the active tango dance community in the Bay Area, playing over 75 milongas (social dance events) annually. The group was the featured orchestra for Chicago Tango Week 2013, and has performed for milongas in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, Montreal, London, NYC, and dozens of cities in between. Redwood Tango also regularly performs for city-sponsored events, private parties, restaurants, weddings, and corporate events. Tango is a unique and rich-sounding choice that can work well as background or concert music. There are three instrumentations available. The bandoneon is an accordion-like instrument (the soul of the tango sound) and is center to all three: Redwood Tango Duo (bandoneon, acoustic guitar) Redwood Tango Trio (bandoneon, piano, violin) Redwood Tango Ensemble (bandoneon, piano, two violins, acoustic bass)
