Cassandra Skinner Cassandra Skinner is a native Houstonian. She was raised by her grandparents Ella and Albert James Strather. They along with Greater Zion Missionary Church under Pastor M.L. Price help mold and give her the firm foundation she would need to become the woman she is today. At an early age began to refine her skills in the areas of Performance Poetry, and Visual Art. At twelve she became an All American Academic scholar. After spending over 20yrs going between California and Houston perfecting her craft, she now dedicates her time helping others to obtain their dream while she lives hers. Cassandra has been an advocate of youth reading poetry and artist across the board. This particular age group gets lost in the shuffle and today they are prodigy's that lose their craft because no one helps hone their skills. With that being said, Ms. Skinner is on her way to the top. She along with her team, are still currently working on several projects that are scheduled to be released throughout 2015 including the release of her own manuscript and CD Blank Pages. Currently her CD has been submitted to the 2016 Grammy Awards for Best Spoken word and is awaiting official nomination. As she moves through the fourteenth year of the new millennium, her plans are to continue to elevate in her craft, raise awareness to the need in underprivileged communities and youth and performance artist of all spectrum, while optimizing her success.
