I'm a recording artist, classically trained vocalist, and singer-songwriter. I perform a wide range of music, including R&B, ballads, pop, CCM, gospel, and classical. A native of Mississippi, I now reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
// Why work with me? //
I take pride in being professional, dependable, and reliable. Live music brings that extra special something to a special event, and I strive to deliver the ultimate experience for you and your guests. From corporate gatherings to weddings, celebrations, and private home events, my music will get your heart racing and your body moving.
When I take the stage, I don't just sing... I captivate hearts, ears, and eyes with the gifts that have been given to me: a rich, deep baritone voice and an engaging presence. My job isn't complete until everyone is satisfied.
These are just some of the words people use to describe my performances: POWERFUL. SOULFUL. MOVING. SENSUAL. Are you ready?
/// More about me ///
I'm a classically trained vocalist with a broad range that includes R&B, Soul, Gospel, Classical, and Pop. I sing each genre of music to perfection, with style and ease. Whatever type of event you have in mind, I can deliver a program that your guests will talk about for years to come.
You might remember me from America's Got Talent, where I was a top 5 finalist and received a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience. On my first performance, I sang my own arrangement of "Ole Man River" Later on, I brought back the magic of the world's favorite R&B soul singer, Barry White, with one of the world's favorite songs: "You Are So Beautiful". Another week, I sang Alicia Keys' hit song "Fallen".
More recently, I've performed for multiple events, including the San Francisco 49er's 2017 final game and many others.
// A look back ///
I was born in a small town in Mississippi, and began singing in the church at the age of six. When I was twelve, I moved to California with my family. At sixteen, I sang for Rosa Parks, an experience I will never forget. Shortly after, I was summoned to the Vatican in Rome to perform "Amazing Grace" for Pope John Paul II.
Deeply moved by these experiences, I began to believe that I could turn my love of music into a career. Determined to rise above my humble beginnings, I pursued my passion with an intense focus. I undertook classical vocal training and earned my masters degree in psychology. I sought out the top talent in the music industry, working in every capacity, from acting to singing to songwriting to producing, viewing each opportunity as a chance to become a better artist.
Over the years, I have been blessed and honored to open for Patti La Belle, collaborate with Grammy award-winning producer Narada Michael Walden and Chuckii Booker, and work closely with international gospel legend Andrae Crouch, to name a few.
