Best known to the general public as one-third of Beyonce's background singers “The Mamas”, vocalist, writer and entrepreneur Tiffany Moníque stepped out of the shadows with her debut EP, Nemesis, in 2010. The EP was released worldwide through Rhythm 252 Music Group, her joint independent imprint with producer/manager, Kevin “Kwiz" Ryan. Since the EPs launch, Tiffany Moníque has amassed an impressive international fan base of thousands, including superstar, Beyoncé: "Tiffany's voice has effortless strength, sass, seduction, and heart with a tone that puts you at ease," said Beyoncé. "I am very lucky to have worked with her for many years and I am proud that she now has such a wonderful piece of work to share with the world.”
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Tiffany moved to Newark, New Jersey as a young child. Immediately, Tiffany became actively involved in church and was a director in the church's music ministry by high school. In addition to her gospel roots, Tiffany found joy listening to seasoned soul singers on the radio, including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, Whitney Houston, Vesta and Chaka Khan. Tiffany's sights shifted to a solo career after returning home and graduating from William Paterson University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications/Journalism.
In 2007, Tiffany received a phone call from Beyonce's creative director, Kim Burse, offering her the opportunity to sing background for an upcoming tour. In addition to Beyoncé, Tiffany's career as a professional background vocalist and vocal arranger includes a virtual 'Who's Who' in the contemporary music industry, including Sting, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Pharell, The Roots, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jill Scott, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, Faith Evans, Shirley Ceasar, Brandy, Jessie J, Stevie Wonder and more. In August 2013, Tiffany was featured in New Jersey Monthly's article “The Great Unknowns” (by Tammy La Gorce) highlighting her experience and accomplishments as a background vocalist. She is also an Esophageal Cancer survivor (2015) and released a inspirational single, "Braving The Storm" in 2017 to highlight her road to recovery.
