History Musicals & Musical Tributes Storyteller from Essex, CT

Patty Carver's History Musicals and Musical Tributes are programs that I have toured through the East Coast, Midwest and New England for the past 15 years. Specifially designed to be entertaining, informative and affordable, these hour long, musical programs have consistantly fit the entertainment bill for CCRCs, Libraries, Historical Societies, Senior Centers, DAR Meetings, schools and special event venues throughout this region of the USA. I'm completely self contained and travel with my own sound system. All my music is on tracks - This is one of the ways I'm able to keep these shows cost effective. My History Musicals are part of my This Old Hat, Women of American History Series. In each of these programs I portray 4 different women of American History Musical Theatre Style! These shows are historicaly correct, entertaining and filled with music! There are 3 History musicals to choose from; "Patriots of Liberty" - Betsy Ross, Deborah Sampson, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Amelia Earhart. "Leading Ladies" - Dolly Madison, Elizabeth Blackwell, Nellie Bly and Belva Lockwood. "American Heroines" - Katherine Coffin, Molly Pitcher, Prudence Crandall and Mother Jones. I also have numerous theme based musical tributes. These hour long cabarets are filled with music, patter and nostalgia. These cabarets include: Sentimental Journey-The Music of Doris Day; Irving Berlin-A Patriotic Tribute; Johnny Mercer-Life and Lyrics; Mary Martin-Broadway Legend; Frank Loesser-A Remarkable Fella; The Music of George Gershwin, The Music of Jerome Kern, Rogers & Hammerstein, Rogers & Hart, A Christmas Cabaret and An Irish Cabaret.
