Trained as a classical vocalist, soprano Amanda Escalante Johnston possesses a lyrical voice that shines in a wide variety of styles from pop, gospel, and jazz, to musical theater, country, and art songs. Amanda's ever expanding repertoire contains many songs from diverse events she has participated in, such as church services, weddings, funerals, private Christmas parties, and other special events. If you're requesting a song that she may not know, she's a quick learner and has easy access to sheet music and accompaniment tracks. Performing solo work for most of her life, Amanda's vast experience is reflected in her stage presence and ease with music. Her pleasant and professional demeanor and genuine love of music makes her a joy to work with. Other projects for Amanda include singing and traveling with a contemporary Christian vocal quartet With Praise, who released three CDs since 2003. She is currently working on her first solo album. Amanda Johnston is a talented singer, very professional and easy to work with. She can accommodate virtually any style of music and is flexible with requests. Her creativity and her passion for music and her experience with music allows for excellent results, even if challenges such as time, resources, technical difficulties may occur. Her ability is beyond the ordinary. She loves to sing and she truly embraces her contribution to whatever role in music she may participate in, or lead out. I highly recommend her to anyone and know that she will not disappoint.

Funeral•Reviewed on April 7, 2006•From Anaheim, CA

Amanda sang at my Grandmothers funeral in Anaheim on April 7th 2006. We requested she sing spiritual/hymn type standards and were very happy with the result. Amanda has a beautiful voice and what I consider an amazing range. The comments from attendees were all very positive and my Mother said Amanda sounded like an Angel singing. She was very accommodating and flexible, which was so helpful in a funeral situation, especially after finding out from the Mortuary that their piano was broken at the last minute. Thanks, Amanda, you were great.
