Vox Belle is a seasoned vocalist who utilizes the electric and acoustic guitar, ukulele, bass, flute, and backing tracks to create a swirl of discriminating cocktail hour pop and jazz and classic indie hits! She has a festive Christmas set ready to add that "special touch" to your Holiday event and a set specially crafted for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities! Her set list includes music from artists such as: Astrud Gilberto, Buddy Holly, The White Stripes, The Cure, Coldplay, The Zombies, Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Radiohead, Dusty Springfield, The Shirelles, Ella Fitzgerald, Nirvana, Nina Simone, The Pixies, and New Order. Her music provides an element of sophistication and allows your guests to converse and enjoy her refreshing renditions of familiar songs. She uses a state of the art Bose sound system, known for its crystal clear sound. Her husband accompanies her to every gig to monitor sound and joins in on several songs by playing guitar and bass! Vox Belle previously recorded, performed, and released two indie pop albums under the moniker Cannonball Jane through Gaddycat Records (USA) and Fortuna Pop (Europe). The albums garnered praise from notable publications such as Spin Magazine, The New York Post, Paste Magazine, The Times (UK), Time Out, New York Magazine, and numerous other national and international press outlets. Other highlights of the Cannonball Jane act included touring the United Kingdom, working with Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys and DJ Downfall of the UK, and having one of her songs appear on Canadian television. Her other musical endeavors have included teaching elementary general music in Connecticut, working at a Grammy award winning jazz and classical record label in New York City, singing with her local philharmonic, directing a children's church choir and teaching private piano and guitar lessons in her hometown in Ohio.
