Matchmaker Band was formed in 2008 in Austin, TX because we knew that people needed a little more funk, soul, & happiness in their lives. Who doesn't want to shake it to Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jackson 5, & Earth, Wind, & Fire? Since that time, Matchmaker has averaged over 150 shows a year and traveled all over the country performing at countless wedding, private, and corporate events.
Matchmaker Band brings you 10 (count em, ten!) amazingly talented musicians including four unique vocalists and a first-class rhythm section, including keys, guitar, bass, drums, sax and trumpet. We also have the ability to scale from a 10pc band to a 16pc band by adding strings, percussion, and additional brass.
We love music. We love this music. And we love performing it for people. When you bring us to your event, we know your guests will love it, too.
