I am a real bearded Santa that is a member of IBRBS - International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas - New england santa society. I took a course at the International University of Santa Claus (IUSC) and received a Bachelor of SantaClausology 19 years of being Santa - Annual Church Fair / Breakfast with Santa - Garrison school Dover NH -SPCA tree lightings- business Christmas parties - private functions and many many home visits I take on the traditional Santa look that most kids of all ages look to see in a Santa. My goal is to keep the Magic of Santa alive in my visit. While I am with you, you just might say: Are you the real Santa? I would say "do you believe in Santa?" Lets keep the magic going for the kids! And just maybe you will believe again. One of my best experiences was - a grandmother hired me to come to see her 2 grandsons, aged 5 and 8, well the 8yr old did not believe in Santa. She gave me a little info in advance about the 8 yr old that he would never think Santa would know. I was there for only 20 to 30 minutes and when I left the 8 yr old was hugging Santa and telling Santa how good he will be!! This is why I am Santa---The KIDS! Santa's helpers. -Grand Entrance. Get everyone together before Santa enters. Then, at the right moment Santa can pop in and join everyone in the fun. -Have a sturdy chair for Santa to sit in. A good straight-back, ARMLESS dining room chair works well. No armchairs please. -Have your gifts wrapped and well labeled. If Santa is to bring in presents, the person meeting him can help fill Santa's bag. They should fit into one 35-gallon plastic bag - Place Santa's chair near your Christmas tree or in a holiday setting with plenty of light. No glass windows behind Santa. Maybe in front of a fireplace (with no fire) with stockings hanging or any festive type of backdrop. -If you have a large group of children to see Santa, you should assign someone to be Santa's helper.
