“FIVE DAYS WITH YOU” is a one man, classic rock band featuring singer, songwriter and guitarist Mark VanMarter. Soon after discovering the electric guitar in 1978, Mark began to sing along and accompany his playing. By 1982, he formed his first band and proceeded to perform over two hundred, twelve song sets throughout New York State and the Northeast. In 1988 a decision was made to stop performing live and focus on a career in sales. That was until July of 2004 when Mark decided to get back out and do what he loves best, performing. Mark said, “ I decided it was time to bring a generation of great music back. With all that is going on in the world today, people need to escape for a few hours.” A “FIVE DAYS WITH YOU” performance consists of three, twelve song sets. Each set is approximately 50 minutes long. Featured songs by artists like Eric Clapton, Poison, Moody Blues, John Cougar Mellencamp, Roy Orbison, Judas Priest, ZZ TOP, Bruce Springsteen, Blue Oyster Cult and Van Morrison should appeal to any classic rock fan. Modern technology has enabled Mark to capture the sound of a complete band, even though he is the only performer. His compact, state of the art, stereo P.A. system takes up as little as 25 Square feet of space. People love the crystal clear sound quality, perfect for an event of up to 200 persons.
