***The Tarakis will travel throughout the Midwest*** The Tarakis is a collective of musicians that have come around Ras Badjao to support reggae music in Iowa. This is truly a world music project, featuring musicians from the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Chile. The band is comfortable in both stripped down acoustic settings or as a full ensemble. We have played private event/casino/festival gigs, etc. and treat every performance in a professional manner. Ras Badjao & the Tarakis performed at the World Food and Music Festival last fall. Feedback was very positive: “I heard you singing from our booth and I thought they had plugged in a Bob Marley & the Wailers CD! That's how good you guys sounded!!” “Another great performance!! The outdoor venue was awesome. Jorgen ripped it up again with some amazing solos!! He's the pedal master!!”

The Tarakis were amazing!! So easy to work with and so talented! They learned 2 new songs to play for our first dance and father/daughter dance. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!! I received so many compliments on the band!! If you are considering the Tarakis for your event, I would say book them, and fast!!
