My name is Tammy Harris and I preform with a four to six piece band along with two to three background singers depending on the nature of the performance. My music is a blend of old school R&B fused with elements of Jazz & Funk. I cover songs from Stephanie Mills, Phyllis Hyman, Nancy Wilson, Jill Scott, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, The Brand New Heavies, The Doobie Brothers, Gladys Knight, John Lennon, and similar artists as well as original material that has received writing recognition in the VH1 Save the music Song of the Year contest, as well as, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
I recently released my project, 'Natural Vibe', and traveled to California for an interview on the Gigi Iam show which was co-hosted by legendary R&B Singer Howard Hewett of Shalamar. My new project features covers by Stephanie Mills, Phyllis Hyman, Nancy Wilson, and The Brand New Heavies. This project also includes remixes of two of my songs by Grammy-award winner Maurice Joshua and Rob Morrison who remixed Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love.'
