Real Thyme R&B Band from Silver Spring, MD

Real Thyme was established in 2006 by its founder, manager and drummer, John Henderson. The idea of Real Thyme spawned from the desire to bring back that "Old School" flavor of live R&B/Funk and Soul that became the soundtrack of his life. As a cover band, Real Thyme emulates the excitement of Earth, Wind & Fire, The Commodores, The Gap Band up to and through contemporary artists such as Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Mario and Anderson.Paak Real Thyme is a 7 piece band with self-contained sound for small venues and required contracted sound for larger venues and outdoors. Our minimum performance time is 2 hours. We require 2 hours to set up and break down. In most instances, we will work for the gig for at least 6 hours (2 hour set up; 2 hour performance; 2 hour break down).
