I was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a debilitating disease with varied etiology characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle twitching/stiffness, difficulty speaking (dysarthria), difficulty swallowing (dysphagia), and decline in breathing ability. ALS is the most common of the five motor neuron diseases. My prognosis is bleak. I was given 3-5 years…but I am going on year five! I am a motivational speaker who requires NOTHING in return for my services except for you to share my name with those who may like to hear me speak. I do this for free because 1. It is a higher calling; it is what God wants me to do. 2. I want to serve others and help them realize their potential.
