Nick Petrillo Jazz Pianist from Studio City, CA

Los Angeles based pianist, Nick Petrillo, began his musical training at the age of 5, studying classical piano at first and moving into jazz and contemporary styles. He has been strongly influenced by Motown and 70s songwriters, as well as the great music of Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans and Miles Davis. Nick began his performance career at the age of 7, playing for school functions and private recitals. He began working professionally at the age of 14 as a cocktail pianist at Da Filippo's Italian Restaurant in Somerville, NJ. During his junior and senior years of high school, he attended the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, maintaining his virtuosic classical piano technique. He then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, completing his college studies in 2011 with a dual major in Contemporary Writing & Production and Film Scoring. Nick has performed with the legendary Ben E. King, composer of the standard "Stand By Me" He has also performed with The Doobie Brother's member and soul singer/pianist Michael McDonald. With 17 years of training and 15 years of performance experience, Nick Petrillo is the perfect addition to any wedding or professional function.
