Matthew Stone Pianist from Augusta, GA

I am Matthew Stone, a multi-instrument musician based in Augusta, GA. Growing up and cultivating my talents and skills in the same city that produce the great James Brown. Music has always been a part of my life, after graduation from Prince Avenue Preparatory School I attended West Virginia State University with a scholarship for Football, but realized my calling was still in music. I soon ended my term in West Virginia to pursue a degree in music at Shorter University. I began playing drums at the age of 4 years old, transitioning to the organ at 10 years. Matthew began playing for local churches, choirs, and groups in the area whilst studying under Dr. Andrea Clark of the Clark School of Music in Augusta, GA. At 15 becoming the youngest Minster of Music in his church's history, he began leading worship and vocal training for his congregation. I am a have been a touring musician since 2011, where I contributed my talents to the two-time stellar award nominee "Gospel Legends" as the music director, and performing as the Key Organist and Pianist. During my time on tour I have had the luxury of performing with and filling in for several Musical Powerhouses; such as Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Tamela and David Mann, and Fred Hammond. My most frequent tour I served as the 3 time Grammy Award Winning Mighty Clouds of Joy serving as Organist and Pianist. I was awarded by being asked to become a Hammond Artist in 2014. There is nothing more important to me than allowing my talent to shine through and let the music I produce be a welcome distraction from stress, and strife of day to day life. I am punctual, and I am versatile. The ability to conform to the music choices you have, the venue changes, and the needs you have of me are one of the skills that I hold most dear. When you choose me as your pianist for your event, you are not only getting a man that will sit behind the ivory keys and play melodies and patterns that sound good to your ear, you get a piece of mind, that you do not have to worry about the entertainment and the audience enjoying themselves as I take them on a trip through the ethereal experience that only Music performed correctly can produce.
