Hello! Creating a sophisticated and elegant, yet vibrant atmosphere for those special occasions, such as receptions, private and corporate parties, weddings, and other special events is my specialty! A wide range of music-jazz standards, Broadway ballads, Latin, swing and some original compositions- are all offered in my repertoire. For wedding ceremonies a lighter classical program is usually preferred. Performing with other musicians, such as piano/bass/sax/drums are all part of my expertise and available to you. I'm a wonderfully versatile pianist with a Classical Piano Performance degree and extensive training in jazz and composing. My background includes Music Director for Dance (WSU and professional companies), professional touring and local theater companies, and orchestral staff pianist. For several years you could hear me playing solo piano in the Sunday Music Series at Kresge Court at the Detroit Institute of Arts! I also love to perform as a soloist and in various ensembles, from classical to jazz. My teaching studio is also a hub of creativity and I find time to compose. If your venue has a piano, fabulous! Many country clubs and private clubs have a grand piano on the premises. If not, we can discuss my bringing a keyboard/amp/speaker to your event for an extra charge.
