I live for the butterflies of a bride about the walk down the isle. The instant wide awake smile at 5AM when she realizes...today is the big day. The nervous twiddling of a grooms fingers as he waits that last 20 minutes before the ceremony. I live for your life's biggest moments, wrapped up in champagne toasts, sparkler exits and dreams about "forever." All of life's biggest memories are here and gone before we know it. Its my goal to capture these moments in such a way that allows you to relive them again and again for years to come. After all the leftover catering is thrown away, the candles are blown out, the dance floor is swept clean and those beautiful flower centerpieces are wilted, photographs are the only way to remember. This is why I do this.
I aim to capture what is real. I love life in action and strive to shoot with a photo- journalistic style that is up-close and personal capturing the laughter, the connection, the love and the roots of real relationships in front of my lens.
One of my favorite things about photography is that it isn't just an hour of posing or a wedding day full of your best practiced smile..its an intimate experience. I love the adoring glances, the intertwined fingers, the tight embraces and the sweet soft kisses between two people in love.
I shoot with the natural light that undoubtedly comes up each morning and leaves us each evening. I love the freckles and scars and everything that makes you, you. You can expect a natural and clean look to each and every image I capture.
My love for photography extends far past my camera. I love people and I love love. Plain and simple. I dabbled with my cheap $50 camera in high school and shot way too many cactus and flower pictures. But it wasn't until I picked up my first professional camera in 2008 that I realized this is what I wanted to do with my life. The interaction with life, love and entering into your exciting moments is addicting. The fact that photography allows me to freeze your relationships in time is beautiful. It allows you to look back on your joyful, bursting at the seams, young love and reminisce. It captures the joyful screams when you announce you are, in fact, carrying the first grand child of the family. It allows you to feel again the overwhelming butterflies that you had in your stomach as you peered on your husband for the first time on your wedding day. These are the moments I live for. Let me be there to document the tears, the laughter, the incredibly carefree dance moves, the champagne toasts and the mischievous decorating of the getaway vehicle. I love it all! And you will too for years to come!
