All individually accomplished artists, NYMM Drummers members Ray Sampson, and Rashaun Stewart are equally at home with Samba, House, West African, World percussion or in collaborations with master musicians from non-Western traditions. Their unique performances seamlessly transport global influences into music that create a visually and aurally compelling experience. The ensemble's critically-acclaimed performances regularly feature numerous commissions and world premieres; traditional influences from India, West Africa and the Middle East; and landmark works by composers such as Carlos Cachaca,William Chapman, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington,Neil Peart, Dennis Chambers, Scott Johnson and Billy Cobham.

With much passion, NYMM has been performing our "Music In Motion" programs in Schools, ChildCare Centers, Colleges, Festivals and other platforms in the past to entertain for 10 years.
Our mission is to leave lasting positive impressions. Keeping our programs exciting and age appropriate, our goal is to make students and guest feel like they are part of the show, rather than just watching a program.
