One of the last of the analogue kids, Michael Kranicke founder of VDK, grew up when listening to music meant vinyl or the radio; feeding on rock and roll that had harmony and melody. He played with different bands as he learned the guitar and how to be an entertainer and a musican.
Fifteen years and hundreds of shows have brought many wonderful moments, applause, laughter, smiles, and cheers. The single, "when i see her," from American Lights was featured in "Deal" starring Burt Reynolds and produced by Seven Arts Pictures / MGM.
Two songs off the 2010 record Mileage, 'It's All Right' and 'Strong Will Survive' have been licensed to the hit Canadian television series: 'Dark Rising - Warrior of Worlds', spreading the word about the VOODOO KINGS.
Now with their new energy and a new line up, Michael is ecstatic to launch VDK for new audiences. VDK has changed their narrative, while they have sustained their passion for the song, for the first chord, for the wall of sound, for the girls, for the rush, for love of it, for the addiction to music we'd all like to never lose.

NUVO, Indianapolis, IN
“American pop rock woven with a country twang produces a good aroma on the Voodoo Kings six-track third release, 'Mileage'... A
true taste of the Americana musical pie.”
