One of the last of the analogue kids, Michael Kranicke founder of VDK, grew up when listening to music meant vinyl or the radio; feeding on rock and roll that had harmony and melody. He played with different bands as he learned the guitar and how to be an entertainer and a musican.
Fifteen years and hundreds of shows have brought many wonderful moments, applause, laughter, smiles, and cheers. The single, "when i see her," from American Lights was featured in "Deal" starring Burt Reynolds and produced by Seven Arts Pictures / MGM.
Now with their new album Mileage, and a new line up, Michael is ecstatic to launch VDK for new audiences. VDK has changed their narrative, while they have sustained their passion for the song, for the first chord, for the wall of sound, for the girls, for the rush, for love of it, for the addiction to music we all like to never lose.
