Already past it’s one year mark, this sensational line up was scheduled to be the FINAL CLOSING ACT of the DENVER JAZZ FESTIVAL on Feb 24th,2007. Quemando has already headlined at the Grand Junction Arts and Jazz festival, and performed at the Sobo Music Festival in Boulder as well as the beautiful Grande River Vineyards located in Palisade, Co. Quemando also regularly performs at the hottest local venues in Colorado such as “ La Rhumba “ ( voted Colorado’s hottest salsa club by WESTWORD ), and the “ St Julien Hotel “, located in Boulder, and the “ Hotel Boulderado”. Quemando has recently released it’s first live album titled, “ Live at the Denver Marriot “, recorded and produced at the Peruvian Indepenence Day Festival. Quemando already has plans to do some national touring next year, as well as come Carribean cruises, as well as another live album due next fall. Quemando is collectively comprised of the hottest individual front range musicians whose roots lie in all of Denver and Boulder’s most popular salsa bands. This 13 piece power house ( in it’s largest form yet ), has a unique sound and energy that has proven to be irresistable to all of Colorado. Featuring the music of such great artists as “ The Spanish Harlem Orchestra “, “ Sergent Garcia “, “ Eddie Palmieri “, Willie Colon “, “ Los Brillanticos “, “ Carlos Vives “, “ Sylvia Rexach “, “ Pancho Sanchez “, “ Ricardo Lemvo y Makina Loca “, “ Son de Cali “, and even “ Gloria Estefan “, Quemando has introduced a whole new twist to the sound of salsa. The members of Quemando include: Robin Jeri on lead vocals, from Peru, from Columbia, the beautiful Kelly Rizo also on lead vocals, Jonny Jyemo on vocals and all perucussion instruments, Jon Rademaekers on percussion, Zack Littlefield on congas, Dennis Jaramillo from Peru on all percussion instruments, Adam Revell on the keys, and James Calvin AKA J.C. on the upright bass. And the monstrous horn section is: Eric Schneider on lead trumpet, Rick DeMey on alto Saxophone, Kurt Moorehead on tenor saxophone, Doug Scarborough on tenor trombone, Dave Wiske on tenor trombone, and Gary “ The Main Man “ Mayne on the bass bone.
