Dave Mack- Lead Vocals & Guitar Dave Mack, a 20 plus year veteran, toured the US during the early 80's with Samaki & the Variation's in support of the hit single "Can't stop the Break". In the early 90's Dave also traveled extensively with the legendary "Cool Runnings" reggae band in support of their album "Don Garrgon". Cool Runnings was voted by the Hartford Advocates reader choice poll as "Best Reggae Band" 5 years in a row. In 1996 Dave formed Funk Food, and in 1997 was once again part of a group that won the Readers Choice Poll, this time for "Hartford's Best Funk Band". Fearing that people would think the band only played one kind of music, Dave shortly changed the name of the group to The Dave Mack Band. Dave's one man band is packed with the Quintessential music of today and yesterday, "nothing but the hits" from every genre he plays. His taylor made backing tracks allow him to perform his show as if he had a full band but without the hassle or expense of a full band. While Dave takes pride in performing the music of many legendary artists, he is also an established songwriter and producer himself. Dave recorded, produced, and wrote the bands first album in 1999, titled 14 Grooves. 14 Grooves sold over 6,000 copies throughout CT, and in total Dave Mack has sold over 12,000 CD's.
