Alex Hoffer & THE ALEX HOFFER BAND is a group of musicians from the Chicagoland area that have been preforming for the past ten years. Alex as a solo artist has been playing since he was 19 years old (Now 29). Playing originals as well as Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Tom Petty, Ray LaMontagne, The Black Keys, Paul Simon and many others. Alex was also recently featured on ABC's Windy City Live, a Chicago based morning talk show. He's also opened for The Wailers, Howie Day and Eddie Money.
His band consists of players like Giles Corey, a well accomplished guitsrist who has been playing for over 20 years. Originally from New York. Works/worked with projects such as Otis Rush, Bo Diddly, Buddy Guy and Lubriphonic.
Pete Galanis also makes appearances in this rotation. A veteran Blues guitarist, his band, Howard and The White Boys, are one Chicago's most well known and respected blues groups. Pete also has his own band, The Pete Galanis Band.
Many other players come together with Alex depending on the situation. Whether solo, duo, trio or full band, Alex Hoffer and his group always entertain and have played such venues in the Chicagoland area as The Double Door, Schuba's, Joe's on Weed Street, The Cubby Bear (Wrigleyville), as well as street fests and countless others. They also include shows at Summer Camp Music and Arts Festival, The Wisconsin State Fair, Hopstring Fest and Shoe Fest just to name a few.
