The Number 1 killer of teenagers and young adults today, is texting and driving! Every day an average of 99 students between the ages 12 and 24 years old die in the United States. 31 of those 99 young people will die in an auto related accident. The choices young people make on a daily basis have very real consequences, costing many of them their future or even their lives.
That's why we have created “DRIVE ALIVE - Don't Text and Drive”. The full presentation with walk through allows young drivers and future drivers to get behind the wheel and drive a simulated course while sending and receiving text messages. After presenting an eye-opening video outside the simulator each person has the opportunity to “take the wheel” and test their driving skill while receiving and sending text messages inside the simulator truck. Our software is designed for each person to use their own cell phone to send and receive messages that interact with our software while driving the simulator. The student must navigate through traffic, avoid pedestrians, and obey all traffic laws while attempting to keep up with a conversation with friends through text messaging. When the young drivers become distracted from a timely placed text message, an auto accident occurs, showing the students that they are not able to fully focus on both the road and their phones at the same time. Ultimately the purpose of this presentation is to change the perception of young drivers thinking that they “can” text and drive safely, and hopefully open their eyes to the decision that could change the course of their lives forever: “DRIVE ALIVE - Don't Text and Drive”.
Our half-million dollar mobile texting display truck is one of a kind, sought out, and designed specifically for this purpose. The 38 ft. commercial box truck with generators has double slide out walls creating a virtual classroom with perfect temperature control. Twelve state of the art driving simulators with 32” flat screen windshields were installed so that attendees would have an almost real experience of texting while driving. The truck is setup on site. Both walls slide out, the back door opens and the stairs unfold allowing an entrance and a secondary exit suited for safe and easy traffic flow to and from the presentation room. Two 46” flat screens in the truck share the dangers and statistics of distracted driving as well as a gripping testimony of a young girl pleading others to not make the same mistake. On the outside wall of the truck an awning extends over two 60” flats screens sharing videos and sponsored advertisements. Ongoing operational costs include: all truck maintenance and repairs, fuel, a full time licensed driver, 4-6 crew members, and 2 WiFi connections.
The purpose of the truck is to share the dangers of texting and distracted driving with as many people as possible. The truck is available for Corporate and Government events such as: High School presentations, Mall openings, Community awareness events, State fair vendors, Sporting and Entertainment events, Promotional Events, Corporate promotional events, or New store openings. The simulator can be a great added benefit for your companies successful product launch event. We are willing and able to be at any location the truck can reach its target audience.
When the truck arrives in a new city it quickly becomes news worthy. Media is notified and usually arrives on the spot to support this worthy cause.
We are also currently looking for City, State and National Sponsors to sponsor High Schools. We will wrap the truck with your corporate brand or logo.
