DJ Shake DJ from Nottingham, MD

For the past twenty years, DJ Shake has been captivating his listeners with music from genres including Hip-Hop/Rap, Dance, R&B, Reggae, Pop, Top 40, Classics, Gospel, Disco, Funk, Soul & more. A high energy entertainer with a great vocal and stage presence, DJ Shake combines his extensive knowledge and passion for music dating back from the 1960's to present day, captivating audiences along the way. DJ Shake began disc jockeying in college where he also became one of the first African-American college radio music directors for WICR (610 am) during his freshman year. As the music director, he was responsible for overseeing the appropriate mix of musical genres and programs for the radio station, reflecting the interest of the students, staff and listening community on campus. It was also his responsibility to establish and maintain quality relationships with numerous recording companies, promoters and other deejays to obtain a continuous flow of new material for the station. After successfully graduating from college with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, he continued to work as an Events Manager, DJ, and Emcee, hosting and producing a variety of music and entertainment showcases across the United States for national, non-profit organizations. These engagements, combined with relationships he established in the music industry, afforded him the privilege to perform at some of the hottest venues in addition to numerous schools, clubs, weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, boat rides, churches, corporate and other social events. DJ Shake continues to excite crowds and knows how to target musical selections to massage their ears and keep audiences of all ages engaged and entertained. From New York to Virginia, he continues to be in high demand, and travels weekly to those areas to perform at weddings, Sweet 16's/birthday parties, office parties and more. You can see DJ Shake perform weekly aboard Spirit Entertainment Cruises in Washington, DC. DJ Shake also ministers to our youth with his teammates from Christ Musiq Ministry, in various churches and local neighborhoods. His primary goal is to use music as an experience to empower new engagements, relationship building, and foster memories that transcends time.
