My name is Lou Antonucci and I am a professional close-up and strolling magician. As a child, I always loved to perform, whether it was singing in a school play, break-dancing or performing magic for my family and friends. Although I can do a great back-spin, it was the magic that I loved the most. For me, however, it wasn't about knowing the secrets, it was about giving someone that feeling of wonder and astonishment. It's a gift. It's something you can't get anywhere else and I was obsessed with it. I would take my cards and coins wherever I went performing small miracles for anyone willing to watch. At work, on the train, at every holiday party... everywhere. Not only was it rewarding for me to see their faces light up with wonder, it was also great practice. I was performing magic so much that people started calling me "Loudini" and it stuck. Throughout the years I spent countless hours and many late nights practicing and studying the art of close-up magic. Close-up magic has always been my favorite type of magic because of the intimacy of the performance, it's close-up, personal and connects with people. How did that coin vanish inches away from my face? How did the card change when it was in my hand? It's this type of magic I love. No smoke, no mirrors, no dancing girls, just pure sleight-of-hand magic. Today, I perform close-up and strolling magic at corporate events, restaurants, weddings and just about anywhere there is a need to entertain guests. I walk from group to group performing small miracles with cards, coins and borrowed objects. My attire is stylish, current and fitting for the occasion, a blazer, dress shirt and if i'm really feeling dapper, a bow-tie. My performance style is casual and conversational.
