The Funky Fritters are a powerhouse, 11-piece New Orleans blues band, with a dash of soul, funk, R&B and gospel. The band brings the brass with the Red Beans horn section and the Funky Frittatas put the icing on the king cake with their soulful backing vocals. Our repertoire includes New Orleans and blues classics as well as bluesy takes on some rock favorites, and our energetic, fun-lovin' performances please both blues afficianados and music lovers looking for grooves to get 'em dancing. The Funky Fritters are available to play all kinds of events, including corporate functions, weddings, birthdays, business openings, and celebrations of all kinds. We happily arrange to bring all of our own equipment; we can tailor our set(s) to fit your event; and we're always up for adding some new material if you have any requests. And though we're at our best with our full complement, we're also available as a 6- and 9-person ensemble depending on your needs. Stop by any of our regular New York City club gigs to check us out.
