About Vendor

The Connors/ Hemberger band celebrates a wide variety of American Music. Their instrumental repertoire ranges from vintage to present day standards ranging from Cole Porter and George Gershwin to Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Sting. The band principles are Paul Connors on piano, Al Hemberger on bass and Ted Hemberger on drums. The wide scope of American music played by The Connors/ Hemberger Band often shifts the personnel configuration to suit the particular needs of an event. This can range from solo piano or guitar, to piano-bass-drums trio, to a full band with multiple singers and horn section. In addition to the instrumental trio, The Connors/ Hemberger Band features vocalists Kevin "Doc C" Crutchfield and Lisa Cibelli, guitarist Mark Barden, and saxophonist Baron Raymonde. The expanded unit performs classic R & B, Soul, Blues and Rock and Roll in the likes of Motown, Stax/ Volt and Fillmore Era. These veterans musicians have played with Rod Stewart, Foreigner, Stephen Stills, Michael Murphy, The Cox Family, Vern Gosdin, Jimmy Vivino, Cornelius Bumpus, Arvell Shaw, Avery Sharpe, Aaron Scott, Roy Hargrove, John Oates, Dave Mason, John Denver, Don Henley, Marvin Hamlish, Jimmy Buffet, and Phoebe Snow. Solo piano music ranges from Classic Jazz Standards and Broadway, to Classic and Contemporary Popular Music. This versatile repertoire of piano music creates an intimate and relaxed ambiance for any event or party. The duo of singer Lisa Cibelli and pianist Paul Connors brings a warm and fun vibe to any function. Their repertoire ranges from Jazz Standards, to singer-songwriters such as Carol King, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, to Contemporary Popular Artists such as Norah Jones, Joan Osbourne, and Alicia Keyes. The Connors Hemberger Trio is as versatile as they are tasteful. The piano/bass/drum combination functions on many levels, depending on the needs of your event. Providing intimate ambiance for any kind of party, the trio plays music that ranges from Classic Jazz and Broadway all the way to present day Popular music. Although the trio plays with swinging alacrity, a guest can be seated right next to them and still be able to have a conversation. Dynamics are paramount when they perform. On the other side of the spectrum, this unit is well equipped to keep guests dancing for the entire evening from Swing to Latin, to R&B, Soul and Rock and Roll.
