Elvis Tapia's passion for music started long before he stepped into a recording booth. At the age of 8, Tapia began writing songs and composing melodies and was when he decided to become a artist. The satisfaction that he felt from the creative process fueled his affinity for being a singer-songwriter. While many of his peers immerse themselves in Hip Hop and R&B culture, he was captivated by the rhythmic Caribbean sound of Bachata. The modern version of Bachata appealed to his Latin roots and was the perfect medium to demonstrate his talents. This was the beginning of a budding career that would lead him on a journey straight into the spotlight. At 15, Tapia penned and recorded a song entitled "Ya Quiero Tu Amor." It was during this time that he started high school and found himself taking an active role in the arts. The theater was a place where he could hone his stage presence and gave him an outlet to showcase his skills. This was also an opportunity for Tapia to overcome his performance anxiety and helped the once introverted performer to take center stage. As a result of his hard work, Tapia's talent began to blossom as he took on more challenging roles in Broadway inspired school plays such as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Guys & Dolls and Damn Yankees. Upon graduating from high school in June of 2015, a mutual friend introduced him to legendary Bachata Producer JTraxx. Tapia's smooth musical style created such an impression on the veteran executive that he featured Tapia's song "Todo Por Ti" on the soundtrack of the 2016 Keanu Reeves movie Exposed. This was a dream come true to be part of the musical genre that helped propel some of Tapia's music idols including Bachata King Romeo Santos, Aventura, Prince Royce and Luis Vargas. After a whirlwind 2015, Tapia is keeping up the momentum by promoting his self-titled LP. Through his writing, he continues to be inspired by the world around him and love is always the focal point of all his songs. Tapia's ride to stardom is just beginning and the future holds great promise for the talented singer-songwriter.
